Do you and your closest friends have a secret handshake or greeting?

Well, back in the day my friend and I were infamous for the secret handshake around school! Well, not really, but we thought it was cool to acknowledge friends by a complex design of simple shakes and slides! :)
We thought we were so cool haha, and now my friends and I have a normal handshake, not so complex, but still unique and cool! Do you have a saying you acknowledge your friends with, or even possibly a secret handshake?
Even as adults its fun to be kids sometimes! Plus that major brownie points if you're love likes to do these type of activities!

Sorry but I have never had secret handshake with friends. We however have unique language with my friends. We even exchange letters with each other using our own language that nobody will have a hard time to understand that's not a gay language okay. As much as I want to understand that language I think it will really be difficult unless I was surrounded by gays who would teach me the language

I experienced that "secret handshake" when i joined a networking company. It's kinda odd at first but our groups are friends so its fine. It feels like a sorority or a fraternity though.

This reminds me of my younger days.
Yes, we also have same secret handshakes that me and few close friends only know the meaning and how we do it too fast.
but now,it would look awkward to do such things...hehehe

It's not really a handshake that we have with my friends. It's the suffix we have in our names, I have group of friends who altogether have "toi" in our last names, another, we have "yo". Those are ways that we share to keep our bonds even better.

I do shake hands with people I'm often introduced with. Friends and best friends when met not exactly shake hands but embrace and do check to check.
Kids should also learn handshake as a greeting.

Hi dellessimon45,
I've never had the chance to experience that. But I think it's pretty cool and fun when I see people doing it especially teens and kids.
My neighbor's kid have this big tree house in his backyard. He got this really cool door lock that will only release the deadbolt if the secret knock was performed. Some sort like a secret handshake too whereby only certain friends know about it.

Hah! i never thought that handshake can also be secret. You have your own way of expressing oneness of course that is cool enough if both of you acknowledge the importance of that secretness. Keeping the friendship lasts and treasuring friends is important and involving such complex design is not a hindrance. I was'nt able to experience it yet, i only use the simple handshake like what public is doing.

We don't have those secret hand shakes coz I'm never good at those. I do think it is cool but why do we make things complicated when you can do something simple like a simple handshake but in our case, it's hugs. .
