How to dub a movie?

In a few days, I will attend my first dubbing contest. I'm nervous to this contest, because neither am I nor my partner has even a little experience on dubbing. What's more, As Chinese, we are required to dub the movie with English, that's really a tough thing for us. So, friends here, could you give some advise in dubbing. What should I pay attention to?
