Do you still open your account on Friendster?

I was addicted on Friendster before I knew Facebook. When I start using Facebook, I seldom open my account in Friendster. I just find it boring and not interesting anymore. How about you? Do you still open your account on Friendster or you already forgot Friendster?

Friendster is like Facebook of the ancient times. It is also a social networking site but has no other features than that. Unlike in Facebook where you have games and stuff. All you can do with your Friendster account is to socialize and personalize your profile. Pretty boring.

Hi champoY Actually friendster doesn't exist anymore or at least the "old friendster" the site is different now it is more focused on online games. I don't think the old accounts in the "old friendster" is automatically registered in the "new friendster".

I wasn't able to open my account there because all my friends are switching to Facebook already. And Friendster that time is not that interesting anymore. I was once an addict member of Friendster but eventually I got bored. Have a nice day ahead!

You won't be able to open your friendster account because it has been shot downs months ago. Last May 31, 2011 if I am not mistaken. Before that, two months before, friendster has announced it in yahoo news and provided application that will help you recover your profile, your testimonies and pictures. I have already downloaded mine so my friendster memories are still saved. :)

No you won't be able to do it anymore. This happened months ago, They have allotted 3 months for the users to recover their account before they shut down. I think that was from February 2011, to May 2011. As I have said, they shut down last May. So you can't recover your profile anymore.

That's informative! I wasn't about to read on yahoo news about Friendster. Good thing that I can recover my profile there. Thank you for your suggestion. I will do the same. I checked it yesterday and its a social gaming site now.

I agree with you. I like staying here than in any social networking site. Aside from you can earn money here, you get a lot of information and gain many friends. This is the best place I've ever found. Have a nice day and happy mylotting!

I think you may not be able to signin in Friendster using your old account. It has been removed months from now I guess. It becomes a new and different site now compared to the old Friendster you knew before. It is a social gaming site now. I agree with you that Friendster doesn't have that much features compared to Facebook. It loses your interests and feels so boring.

What is friendster? I wonder why so many people join so many different social sites and are still not able to invest in a real relationship. Is this all just about killing time or?

Friendster is similar to Facebook. The only things you can do there is socialize and customize you profile. It was once popular here in the Philippines. Everybody got addicted to it. Until Facebook grab the spotlight...

Yes! There is no reason for me to create an account there. All of my friends are in Facebook now. I don't think Friendster will become a hit again. A lot of people get addicted on Facebook. But for me, I prefer mylot than any social networking sites.

I still remember about Friendster. Friendster was very booming that time even almost all my friends have friendster account but i never heard any of my friends talks about it anymore. The truth is i don't have friendster account but i know about friendster and it's interface because i see my friends accessing it everyday that time. But in my opinion facebook is better because of the simple looks in the site. Also facebook didn't use much bandwith to load the page like friendster because friendster have colorfull page. That is the main reason i didn't choose friendster because my internet connection is quite slow to open the friendter pages.

What I like about Friendster before is that you can customize your page. You are designing your own page. That's the only thing I like about it. Yes, Facebook looks really simple. No too much color. It looks clean. Functionality for me is more important than the design.

Friendster closed last May champoy. Off chart downfall of their users happened after facebook came. That is why they've changed the social network into a gaming network instead. I don't know if they still allow previous accounts to log in but you can try. They've allowed files to be backed-up, you should try visiting if you are once a member.

I haven't been with my Friendster account for such a long time. But then I have decided to check it out recently and it has changed a lot! It is like a gaming site now and I don't think that it will suit my age group anymore. I don't think any of my friends even tried checking it anymore.

I agree with you. I don't think my friends will be interested in Friendster anymore. Most of them are in Facebook now. Thanks for sharing your thoughts with me. Have a wonderful day!

yes, some mylotters mentioned that Friendster was removed from the air. It is now a social gaming site. I don't think I would join there. I find mylot more interesting now than any networking site. I think you are new here so I will great you a warm welcome my friend. I hope you will enjoy your stay here.

If I remember correctly, the last time I opened my Friendster account was a month ago or two months ago. I found that some random acquaintance from there who used to be in my friends list tried to add me again for the games stuff. I didn't know what to do with that request though so I just logged off and didn't visit it again. Don't want to bother with Friendster anymore to be honest.

Wow I haven't even heard that word for years! Friendster is like ancient history now. We have more advance social networking sites now and Friendster has nothing on sites like Twitter or Facebook. Just like you, I was an avid Friendster user myself before. I usually change my background theme for like four times a day. I loved customizing my profile at Friendster but I just got tired of it. Even at Facebook. I seldom open my account on Facebook. When I'm on the Internet, it would be either I'm making money here in mylot or other sites or I'm researching for my assignments.

I was also an avid Friendster before. I enjoyed customizing my page. That's it. Nothing more interesting about Friendster. Right now, I prefer to stay in mylot and earn money online. I appreciate your feedback! Have a nice day!
