Most people prefer short cuts and sometimes we don't take time to think of what we are doing or the consequences that may result from our actions. I wouldn't deny that I have attempted jay walking or even done it but it has never crossed up in my mind that I would even end up in jail. This morning, as I was watching the news, there was a young woman who has been charged with vehicular homicide. This happened because, as she was jay walking, one of her son's was hit by a vehicle and died. Now she is been charged with vehicular homicide and possible jail term. My question is, do you think this is fair or what do you think should be the best option for this case. I am just imagining the pain a mother go through when she loses a child and then a jail term. Wow.

Oh my, she lost her son and she is facing some charges as well.
Can't they spare this case?...how cruel they are charging a mother who lost a beloved son...

It's just the law: the mother is convicted because she has broken the law. But authorities must forgive her... I think, anyway she lost her child. Sad story.

Instead of punishing the lady the driver of the cab if he is responsible should be punished. Already the lady will be depressed on account of the loss of her kid.
In life such things happen without any notice and that is why we should start a days work with prayer to God. good day.
