I use Facebook mainly for keeping up with friends and family and to add online friends who I have found either on Facebook or other websites. I use Twitter to have my view on all sorts of things and to meet new people. do you use these two sites or other similar social networking sites for different purposes like me?.

Yeah, I have Facebook and twitter account. I used my facebook for keeping up with my friends and to know the updates about them. :) For twitter, I use it for reading some tweets like quotes. It is easy to read it on twitter.

I don't have twitter and don't see the use of it either.
I used facebook mainly to play games, not for keeping in touch with friends/family.
Facebook has nothing to do with networking, it's way too public and I think it's a bad thing everybody is watching you and your personal info is reachable for everyone.

I didn't use Twitter much until the start of 2011 when I just starting using it regularly. You can set limits to what other people see on your facebook so I don't agree wit that statement.

I use Facebook to keep up with friends, family, updates, and events! And also birthdays! I use Twitter specifically for micro-blogging, and putting my opinion available for those who are willing to see it. As far as Facebook, the updates are becoming a bit unbearable so I switched to Twitter for basic networking needs a.k.a. communication, friend requests, event updates, and media sharing! I do have to say, I love Twitter and it hasn't dissapointed me yet!

I am glad I stuck at Twitter as I have made some good online friends on there who I would like to meet in person.
