Hubby, who is 76, had very good news yesterday. He had a stroke in his eye about 15 years ago and has suffered from major sight loss for all these years. He has tried any treatment suggested by his doctor, but none has work very well. But he has never given up exercising that eye and using his mind to make it focus as much as possible. Finally that constant exercise has paid off and while he will never have perfect sight out of his eye it is improved much to the surprise of his Doctor. This is wonderful, uplifting news for Hubby, he thought it was improving but just having the Doctor agree gave him an extra lift.

Hi savypat, thanks for sharing. Persistence pays off and that is what your hubby had and did. Age is just a number it is what's in the heart that counts. Nothing from nothing leaves nothing. With persistence, exercise and hard work your husband proved that. May God continue to bless him and you as well.

That's wonderful! It is his own will and strength that has slightly improved his eye sight. I have a friend who told me about his neighbor who had a stroke and could not walk since then. He had to sit in the wheelchair for some time. Everyday my friend has been seeing him in the side of the street trying to walk. Whenever someone comes to try to help him, he tell them to go away by giving a sign, since his speech got affected too. Until one day he can walk straight finally, although he is not anymore having that strength that he got before. He had help himself and he succeeded. It's always nice to hear stories like this

that is very good and wonderful news...my father just got out from the hospital today..due to hypertension..it is his 2nd stroke and this time he really can't walk..very saddened with this and very painful for him... on his first stroke we never thought he can't recover..but his mind is so determine to be well..and after 2 years of trying he was able to walk again..friends and families we're so happy and surprised how positive he is to be okay and even if he stutters when he talks he still tried to talk.. his power of the mind is very strong...he had his first stroke last 1999 until now his sickness again happened...i just hope that he still have his will of walking again..and bring back the power of believing that he will be okay...i prayed and we will do everything to regain his belief that he can do it one more time...i really wish my papa would have that strength again to face his challenge......

Ask for prayers from mylotters. There have been some very good things happening
when this is asked for. I will send you mine right now. Even if you don't believe, somehow when many people turn their attention to a problem good things happen. Blessings

We forget that our doctors can give us good news. My best doctors always confirmed that I knew my own body the best. I am glad that your hubby not only thinks he is seeing better but the doctor agrees. What a great thing to celebrate.

Hi pat! That is wonderful news! I am so happy to hear that your husband's
sight has "corrected" itself. I wish mine would do the same! All I know is
that mine just seems to be getting progressively worse everyday. I need
one pair of glasses just to walk and "see" and another to read. If I take
off my glasses and put them down and can't find them, I need a pair to find
the pair I put down! My eye doctor told me on my last visit that I had the
very beginning of a cataract. Not really news I wanted to hear. Your husband
is very lucky and I hope that his sight continues to improve~

That is awesome news. Eye exercise works, I know. I am sure he felt bad about his eye for all those years. But now he is gaining strength in it. If he keeps up these exercises they will improve even more. Thats great news.

I am so very happy for you both. How rewarding it must be for your husband to see that all those years of persistance exercise and determination made a difference, even though the doctors didn't seem to offer him much encouragement. I know of many such cases where doctors said people would never walk again, but they kept working at it and did walk again. The human spirit is a great thing, as is a positive mind set.

So this means the good news was not given or comming from his doctor or thanks to his doctor but because he never gave up on excercising/practising his eye!
I hope doctors will learn from this too and not just think and say you have to live with it or it's the age.
Hubby proved it's not true which is great!
