we know Cremation is a popular method burial services in many Buddhist countries in Asia,It became so popular that i think even non Buddhist people were practicing it too. one of the reason people like this over traditional burials is that you can take home the ashes of your dead love ones, plus in cemeteries there are those people who steal bones. In Korea there is anew trend burial practice, cremated ashes can now be transformed into crystal beads. from what I heard those beads can be turned into necklaces. source http://www.cbc.ca/news/health/story/2011/11/14/beads-death-south-korea.html On your death, would you rather be buried or would you rather be cremated? Are you open to option on being turned into beads? Is this a brilliant idea or a terrible idea?

CaptAlbertWhisker I have heard of a new technique to make a diamond out of the ashes...so the crystal necklaces are also interesting. I know there are some people who wear lockets with ashes or a lock of hair of the deceased. I like the idea of cremation to save the land....but then some of our beautiful cemetaries would not exist...

CaptAlbertWhisker My hubby said he would like to go out like the ancient Vikings..in a blaze of glory on a ship... lol so I said I could have him cremated and put his ashes on a model Viking ship and set it ablaze and adrift into the ocean...

I have a controversial decision, if I found out I am close to dying, I will decide to go under cryonics.... I wont mind being transferred to a robotic body or something, I want to live until the 2nd coming of Jesus.

Hi, This is a very interesting subject. If you ask me ,I would like my body to be cremated when I pass on. I think families will be better off if they can cremate their loved ones. It would save them a lot of trouble. Of course if their beliefs allow then to. It's completely unique, innovative and a bit wild to turn cremated ashes into crystal beads. Personally I wouldn't want my soul to be to imprisoned in a piece of jewelry. Our Lord God made us humans from the dust of the earth and when it becomes lifeless one fine day, it should be returned to it's origin with no questions asked.

I found out how the crystals were done, basically ashes is composed of carbon and diamond is made of carbon, so yeah from those ashes they canmake crystals. I saw a video how the process is done: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VfunfoX2KOk

I plan on being cremated, and then I do not really care what happens to me. My soul will be gone. I do not plan on having any relatives made into jewelry, though, although that might be better than taking up space as a box of ashes.

This is quite an interesting idea, I've never heard of it before. I have no idea what I want done to me when I kill over. I don't think being buried sounds too appealing, neither does being burnt into ashes. Although, being made into jewelry is quite amusing. It really depends on who's wearing me, I guess :D
