a sudden change

it's painful to say goodbye to someone you don't want to let go, but more painful to ask someone to stay when you know that they want to leave.

The only thing that is left in a such situation is to do what you think is better for you too. If staying or leaving is painful to both of you. What can you do to stop it from happening. If it is a situation that you cannot do anything, then it is good to learn to let it go. Nothing lasts forever anyway.

It's even more painful to realize that you stay with someone who is not able to live with you, love you or care about you the way you do. And most painful of all is not to give yourself a chance to get happy by ignoring this all and pretending everything is gonne be alright.

I think,it depends on situation.In my country,ask someone to stay is a way which show that you're polite and kindness to others.But as you mention,I think waht you mean someone is the one who you loved deeply.If his or her heart is still on you ,you dont have to worry.But if your lover dont love you any more,I dont think there's no way to leave them stay with you.

That could be a very ugly situation to be in. If someone wants to leave then you will just have to let them be. In the end, the person might actually hate you or you will end up hating yourself. If the person is really destined to be yours, then you that person will find its way back to you.
