Hi, fellow otakus! I'm quite sure that anyone who was an anime fanatic since the year 2000 would know about the anime HunterxHunter. This anime came before Naruto, i think. It's an old anime but it still rocks!
If you google it, you'll find the hunterxhunter remake. Right now, there are about 6 episodes released. have you seen it? if you haven't yet, check it out.
For those who have seen both versions, which do you think is better?
For me, the old version was more intense. I like how the characters were portrayed in the older version. There was more life to them. Although the art and graphics were not as good as the new version. Plus, the old version had cooler AMVs and songs! I totally set the opening Hunter x hunter theme song as my morning alarm! Makes me feel refreshed every time i hear it, imagining that I was like Gon plunging my face on the cool river water!
Gon and Killua were undeniably cute!
I think i should stop here, since i don't want to bore you with my fangirl blabbering. It's your turn to tell me about what you think ofb the remake of hunterxhunter. So, which is better? The old one or the new?

I've watche the old hunter x hunter anime and also the new one. I love the old anime because it is one of the best anime for me. Comparing the old and the remake, i could find some major changes.
Some of them is the design of the characters. The remake design looks a little bit childish compared to the old one.
For the pace of story, the remake looked better without filler that the old anime have.
The BGM in old anime is the best compared to the remake one. I also agree that the old BGM makes me feel refreshed.
The last, it looks like the dark side of hunter x hunter is reduced in the remake. But we don't know for sure yet since it only the beginning.
Well just wait and see, who knows the remake will get better when the hunter exams end.

You're right, br3ndy!
The remake looks like a kid show more than a serious seinen anime, mainly because of the new and softer graphics. It is rather rushed. The good thing maybe is that it doesn't waste too much time on just dialogues. I hope it will get better, especially when they arrive at the genei ryodan saga! That would be a must see!

Yeah i also very like the genei ryodan saga, especially the kurapika's nen power. I really can't wait to watch that saga. Well i hope the anime developer realize that hunter x hunter is not an anime for kids so they can make a better hunter x hunter anime according to the manga plot. It would be such a waste if they make this cool anime become childish like.

Hi there Aja! Where do you find the complete episodes of the remake. Just to make my search faster because I'm a big fan of this series. I have so much wonder what's the purpose of the remake. Thanks in advance!

wow, is it true ? I love this anime. But i don't know if hunter x hunter remake. I hope it will be better in graphic and animation. Really cool story. Does this new one has different story from the old one ? I hope the new one has different story, so when i watch it, i will be more interesting to follow the whole story.

Yep, it's true. I was shocked and relieved at the same time. Shocked because they made a remake. relieved because i will be able to see my favorite anime character, killua, again.
I learned about the remake from another discussion here on mylot. It was thanks to them that i knew about. I checked immediately.
So far, the remake has only 6 episodes or more. The story is the same but the pace is faster. Like 3 episodes from the old anime were merged into 1 episode in the remake.
It's not that interesting for now, they followed the story. We hope that they will have something new to add there. If they don't, i think it's pointless to remake it. They should have just made a continuation for the part where they left off.
