I almost lost my patience in waiting to reach the 500 rating and get my first pay.. It just so hard to do it. My mind is about to burst out finding what topic I would start to discuss, then I just get a very little amount of penny. I really want to be motivated in posting here, probably if I can receive my first pay, then I will be motivated then. Right now, I just felt so tired on posting here. My enjoyment before is almost gone. What should I do? Phew! Well, maybe because of my work right now. I get tired already when I came home. I have a lot of stuff to do. I believed that this will come to pass and I should be motivated again to post here. Did you also experienced what I have experienced right now?

Hello,
I have been in your situation. Just when I thought I needed a break from mylot, I responded to an interesting discussion posted by one of my friends or started a new discussion of my own. I am motivated on mylot by sharing with others and learning from them.
Hang in there. I hope you will continue to participate in mylot. I always look forward to your discussions. I enjoy your discussions very much.

bessyjanmayi the other responders will not see this comment unless they come back to this discussion. If you comment back to all of them you will a) see more earnings and b) turn it into a discussion (which is what myLot is for) rather than a question with some answers.
Indeed you could spend all of your time here just commenting on your own discussions. Your number would not increase but your earnings certainly would and you would achive your payour long before you reach 500 just as many Lotters already did.

So that's why he's having a hard time, eh?
Bessy, there's a lot more to do in mylot than just starting a discussion and commenting to some responses. If you do those other things, you'll earn more quickly, you won't get easily bored, and you'll connect with more people.

It's sometimes a lot easier to look for discussions to respond to rather than go through all the effort of starting a topic and then having to maintain it by thinking of good quality, original comments to each and every response.
Responding to other people's discussions is a lot easier since you have something fresh to write about each time.

No offense, but if you think you can make a living on mylot, you are at the wrong place. There are times when I don't feel like logging in or posting, but that is my fault. I can start my own discussions or look around for something decent to reply to, but there are times that I don't want to be here. When I feel this way, I take a break from Mylot. In the end, I always come back to the site. Find something you like to talk about and make more friends, perhaps if you do this, you will think less about the money. This is a great place to have fun and get paid while you're at it. But this is not the place to make a fortune overnight.

I understand what your saying but you need to understand that this place is not going to pay you as much as a real job. For me it's just a place to have fun posting and having discussions with other people and make a little, and I mean a real little amount of extra cash. I've been here a while and I'm still not at $6 yet, and minimum wage is $8 an hour. That just shows how much I enjoy hanging out around here and I'm not complaining. Sure I wish they'd pay more but everyone does, even in most jobs people always think they should be making more. If your not enjoying it here I would say it's not worth it because for most people it's about making money by enjoying yourself.

I'm going through somewhat the same thing but I'm trying my best to stay motivated by the earnings I do achieve! It does get kind of old but I try to change my routine so I stay interested in the new discussions that appear! I'd say find some topics that interest you and be extremely active in those sections. Then you can make your mylot sessions more in depth and you can still have some kind of enjoyment!

Just be patient my dear. Reaching that rating is not an easy task. Find other stuff that will motivate you in using mylot. Posting some discussions here is enjoyable itself. You probably just need to research more on topic that would greatly stimulate you. There are lots of interesting topics here and i don't see any reason for you to get bored.

Just chill out and have fun on mylot, its a fun place to be, I think it may because you are stressing out and making it hard work, forget about payout, broose through people's discussions and answer, that will earn you money, the money will soon build up as you answer discussion and make friends to chat to and comment. Commenting can be big money as well

I went through a time when I was frustrated because I couldn't reach payout every month. Then I got to where I would figure about how much I had to make each day to be able to reach it by the end of the month. I would have fun reaching that every day and it would feel great.

It will be quite fast to reach 500 posts if you keep your target at like 10 or 20 posts or responses a day. You will see the result easily. And what make to motive yourself to go on is to look for something really interest you and work on that, and you will not find it boring anymore.
I would say, if you like to write, here is the place for you, if you are not, than no one can really help you. So, in order to survive and maintain you interest here, you have to learn to love writing, one you got you, you will be hooked with mylot.
Before I join mylot, I never thought that I can be here for so long, and can never imagine I can write so much before this, but after sometime, when I get used to it, I find that mylot is really a nice place, and you will not be able to find one like mylot. You need to learn to be preserver, and you will be like many of us here one day.
Good luck!

Hello bessyjanmayi,
First of all i should clear you that its not that when you reach activity rating of 500 then you will be paid.
Try to be active and respond to as many discussions you can if you don't have ideas to start discussions because MYLOT pays for what you write so it hardly matters if you respond or start.
Don't be so impatient of course you will be paid once you reach payout but for that you need participation so participate more.

Hi,
I can see your ranking is pretty good considering the tens of thousands of users. Why dont you take this as a positive motivating factor and begin to help others gain and go higher up in their ranking as well.

Hi,
I agree. I am new to Mylot and from all what I have heard and searched on the internet so far, it does take a while and some good many posts to earn your first money. I cant imagine how long its going to take before I receive mine, but I should be looking at it more as a motivating factor to post things.
Of course, money does not come for free and one has to earn it. There lies the true satisfaction as well. Spend more time, post many a discussions/comments and you will see it works like magic.

Sorry about your situation and I too was initially tried to start discussions but the responses to my discussions use to be very low. This used to disappoint me a lot, so since then I stopped starting topics on Mylot and only respond to others stated discussions. Now I am enjoying my time on mylot and I suggest you to please try doing tasks. The tasks will take towards your minimum payout very quickly and you can withdraw. Bottom line is that earning on mylot is not that easy and one need to do lot of work to earn it quickly.. all the best

That kind of feeling happened to me many times already but I always come back and start all over again. That is why now I do not see this as work. I come to this site to simply enjoy reacting with others. I know that I am also exercising my mind as I respond to posts. I may not be as active as many others here but I never fail to drop by whenever I have the chance to come on line.

Finding out topic by using a search log here in mylot is paid as well. I suggest you to search topic that you think you deserve to write it out. I did experiencing bored. I am afraid my comment would get deleted if we talk seriously our misbehavior. Thank you.

Don't worry.I have felt the same thing before.I think that is just normal.
I know you feel that way because the earnings add up too slowly, and because there are many boring discussion at many times.
I know your sprit will be back soon when you find many interesting topics or got some ideas about discussion.
Actually I feel the same right now.:)

From what you have said here, you will really not earn well if you don't participate on other people's discussions. Instead of having a hard time thinking of a good post to discuss, why not spend some time replying on discussions we posted? That will surely increase your ranking and give you a star I'm just a mylot member for one month and still enjoying mylot.
