Yesterday I recieved a letter from applied group, acccompying that letter was an offical looking check for $2,152.40. According the instructions I was suppose to email them my job id number and phone numbr so the check could be activated. Being the good investigator I am I decied to give it a try, for the simple fact I wanted to see if my supsions would be confirmed so I proceded to sign up for a different email addres since I couldn't get yahoo to send the email. After I had sent the email I decided to do some more digging. The company didn't exist nor did their bank. Well today I went to my bank and they proved that I was right. Their search turned up no key west bank and no applied group. I comend my bank for not only confirming my suspions but informing me that had the chcek been accepted and bounced I would have been liable. According to the instructions I was suppose to keep five hundred dollars for my salry, go to a western union and transfer 1.459 to madrid spain and proced to spend 662.40 at either walmart or bestbuy and evelaute the service I recieved.
