What do you do when your stressed out or in a bad mood? Whats your release in those times? I like to listen to music or watch television. Sometimes I work out and listen to my ipod, but usually I'm never in the mood for that lol. Sometimes I don't handle things in the best way and I do emotionally eat. Share some things that you do when your stressed out, it can be an unhealthy way that you give yourself a release, it doesn't have to be a suggestion for other people to try but just any way that you yourself deal with it.

THere have been many times I have been stressed or sad. If I am stressed on account of my household work I just stop doing it for some time and read a book for at least 15 minutes. The work can follow later. If I am stressed on account of people I keep talking [blahblah ing ]to my husband and I value his inputs more than anything in the world. He would always instil some sense in my head. If I am stressed on account of my husband I whip myself to doing something else or being extra cheerful by singing loudly or watching a nice classic movie or just some television for a short while. Book reading is also there; I have a number of books and can have my pick.
If it is professional work stress I really like it because i would love to do it to perfection. Generally people cause stress but I am not a person who has mood upswings. We could never afford to have bad moods [right from childhood] ; tiredness or hunger when food gets inordinately delayed can cause a little irritability but I cannot show it to anyone. I just eat fast and get on.
I think and [IN FACT] convince myself that things could have been worse when close people cause stress ; sometimes I worry for my son's sake.THis is a stress that I am unable to handle and lose sleep over it.But then once again I trust in God and manage it.

you seem like you handle it in a normal and healthy way which is good. reading a book is a great way to calm down and I should try it more often but usually I can't focus on it when I'm agitated. I like what you said about taking in what your husband has to say, because that's a good thing to do. Talk to someone else to get another perspective to calm you down.

I eat a lot. I go jogging. But the best thing is to meditate on the word of God.

haaa I eat a lot too! I don't always go jogging but that would be a good follow up or something to do before the eating a lot happens so thats a really good idea. I definitely think it helps to pray but I think it's something you can't force upon yourself and you really have to feel and believe it for it to calm you down and put you in a better place .

Hi friend, How are you? I usually do the same as you when I feel bored, sad, or stressed.. The majority time I feel like in these way I try to listen the music that makes me feel good, or just the songs I loved it! Sometimes, when this doesnt help me, I just go and play with my dogs and enjoy this moment trying to skip the reason that makes me put in this way. Another activity that improve my sense of hummor, would be cooking sweett cakes and biscuits. Have a nice day!

hey, I'm pretty good. how about you? yeah I think my methods although not all of them are the healthiest, are pretty average to what most people do in those times. I also love to spend time with my dog! He's my best friend, I spend most of the day with him. And I also try to enjoy my time instead of being miserable and in pain, I do the best I can lol. I usually listen to heartache songs and try to let my emotions out the best I can.

i like to cry silent, from within my heart the pain starts and inside i cry ,the tears do not come out of my eyes ,just they wait for the time until some one touches the heart of pain.i cry each day dont even know how many times i am hurt in my life. But no one is hurtin its my own people and my own fate that makes me cry.

thats also a very good thing to do and some people don't allow themselves to cry. I think it's one of the healthiest ways to find a good release to pain and sadness. I think a good cry is a perfect way to release that tension. At this point in time I don't cry each day but as long as your overall happy then I would say that it's fine and you can continue on like that.

I definitely listen to songs when I'm stressed and or sad. I listen for them for hours and hours usually. Sometimes I'm like ok I should do something else, this is my last song for now, and then I keep listening to more and more. Every song I say this is it for now and I'm moving on to someone else, and then I think of another song I have a burning desire to listen to lol.

I used to knitt when I was younger, not for stress reasons but I just enjoyed it and felt peaceful. I should take that up again! I think it always feels good to know you've worked hard on something and you've completed it, especially if it turns out great.

Stressed or Sad/
A couple of ways I do not recommend are:
emotional eating or having a pity party
better options, which I am better off pursuing are:
take a walk
catch a power nap
read Bible and pray
listen to some music (at least a little upbeat)
think of something I can do for another person and do it
think of something on my todo list that is not too hard. Do it and enjoy the sense of accomplishment.
Good to have several options. Some days it may require the entire package.

Thats a good list, the only thing that for some people might not work is taking a nap. A lot of times when I'm worked up or upset I can't shut my mind off and the last thing I could do is take a nap. Usually I want to let the emotions out and taking a nap is not going to accomplish that. People definitely have different ways of coping and dealing with situations and usually it's a habit thats very hard to break and trying to make a new healthy one is very difficult.

Listening to music, reading novels and eating are my stress busters. Music and food soothes my mood (people are more cranky when hungry), while reading takes my mind away from stress.

Two of the things you named is what I do! lol. Instead of the reading a book part, fill that in with TV or Movies and that's what I do. Eating and listening to music are the two main things for me as well, even TV I usually get annoyed with and can't focus and turn it off. Music always hits the spot for me when I'm in a bad mood like nothing else.
