What did facebook do right?

I guess they have paid some celebrities who have made facebook popular. If I remember correctly, famous soccer(football) players have started sharing things on facebook, and the fans did accounts on them, just to keep in touch with their favorites. I guess this is the key which made facebook so popular, and once the snowball started to roll down the hill it became bigger and bigger. But I guess they will be a time when the snowball will melt or break. Than the owners will have to come up with something which will start another snowball.

Popularity is a ever increasing graph. Once U start becoming Popular, U never lose track. It will increase and increase and increase.. Facebook brought so many things under the same umbrella, like chatting, sharing photos, videos, creating private and public groups, commenting on each stuff and posting anything. All these are made user friendly. Also, as I said, the most populated place gets increased. People join facebook just because it is so popular and such a nice place to meet new people. That's the key to its popularity!

Facebook started years before it was made public.. It was only used by college students and employee's. They were the only people allowed to use facebook. When it went public it was already well populated before it hit the public. So my answer is it was ahead of the game before it went public..

Facebook has definitely helped me find so many friends from when I was a kid. Since it is so famous, everyone has facebook so it is possible to find anyone there, if they have their genuine name that is.
