Unknown Friends and Page on my FB wall

This Morning as I opened my Facebook account I was a bit shocked, I am receiving notification from different fan page which I did even like and some other unknown friends are on my friend list, though having so many friends is a bit fascinating, there would still be a limitation as to whether if I would like to know their recent activities or not, they kept on flooding my wall.
Now I have started to delete some unknown friends and unlike some sort of fan pages which I didn't like by any means.
Have you experience this kind of this annoying notifications which you were not even interested into? How did you deal with them?

Yes I have experienced having those annoying notifications especially those from Group pages that has added me up without my knowledge. Sometimes what I do is to leave the group or unlike those fan pages. I have gotten rid of most of them. But those unknown friends, I still kept them. I don't have any interest on their activities too, but they have been my game buddies before
which is why I cannot just delete them now that I'm no longer playing the games. Maybe I will just wait for them to delete me on the grounds of being a useless game buddy to them now

Yeah, me too I used to have friends for being their neighbor from some FB flash Games, But I was wondering how did those unknown friends become my friends anyway? some friends doesn't even have their real names, how did I know, their names are celebrities and anime, and their profile pictures are anime too. Is there actually people who are spamming FB accounts randomly?
My friend experience this before, and I find it so funny and actually laugh at him, and now its happening to me and I don't have plan telling him. LOL

I haven't experienced that before. My FB settings have been private for so long. But lately I have publicly opened my wall for everyone to see some of my activities, because of some online works that requires an FB account to be public
'Though my photos are still kept private and no strangers can comment or like my status, they are free to read just not to comment.
Are those strangers actually on your Friends list? Or they just keep popping on your wall? Btw, thanks again and again for the BR! I appreciate it much that you chose my reply out of all those who also had very good response

I usually ignore. Fan page is tolerable for me but what annoys me so much is when a friend would send a private message to many and wherever there are responses, you get a mail too - even the reply is not for you. I tend to remove friends with these schemes. They waste my time lol.

LOL, I am also experiencing that kind of group message I think, then I get the reply from all the people involve, who are you, I don't know you, and I say what? I didn't create this message, but there's nothing I can do but to ignore them too. They can send me message as long as they want, I don't care.

I balieve that your account is set as publically, I used to received unknown friend requests due to that!
What I did is to modify my account privacy settings.
It might help to change your password just in case of hackers!

as to the liking pages, so far i still don't get any notifications from them..and i think that's a good sign to me..and to unknown friends, i don't accept friend requests from people i don't personally know..and i also keep my security settings always..every time facebook has something new, i make it a point to check always my settings to see if i still get the security i wanted..people can't even search me anytime, even if we have common friends...and that's how to properly do with facebook..

I guess there is still a glitch about not being searched by other user, have you tried to search your self using another account?
try log in to another account and then search one of your friend and go to your friends list, you will see your profile, I guess Facebook security if not all has a glitch and needs features to be refurbished. How does it sound if you don't want to be searched by others and yet you can still be seen.

That's not new. My previous ISP had the same problem. Are you from the Philippines? Some ISPs there have that issue. Do unknown fan pages and people updates pop-out in your account? I'm not sure of the exact reason why that is but I have noticed a particular ISP making use of the same IP address for different customers. That maybe the cause of the Facebook thing. So far, it hasn't occurred lately.

-laughs- I don't pay attention to my facebook account anymore. I'm not that active anyway so i don't get a lot of spam on my wall. I wonder if there's a button called 'delete all' available..?
As far as notifications go, i just ignore them and proceed to my facebook tasks.
I have experienced some people sending me friend request and private message me with a word 'i love you' arg, that person didn't even know me, i never added him. Bwahaha!

Maybe he knows you and really likes you, this notifications overlapped my wall and I can't see some of my real friends and relatives updates because of this useless notification.
I am starting to get rid of them. It's kinda fun though, as if I can feel some relief when I am done and go to the next item to eliminate.
