Go for the less expensive or find great deals for name brands online, this will help with clothes, make up,jewelry, and many other things even for your house hold like furniture or new lap tops and other electric devises too there are a few sites for this try groupon and Listia.com :) These are both packed full of awesome deals. If you spend less on some of these things perhaps the food budget can stretch more too. I don't know all the great savings sites but I am sure there are more I plan to do the research as I too am on a pretty tight budget these days. Thanks,A.B.

I've never been one for a brand name stuff... When I met my girlfriend, that was one of the things we had in common... One of the dates we went on earlier stages in our relationship was going to dollar stores & picking out few inexpensive household items & snacks... We would pick out some food & cookwares & made ourselves dinner & watch movies at home... She thought it was very nice & brought us closer... Now that we live together, we turned it into like a game, who can find stuff cheaper... For some reason, it feels like "playing house"...

Thanks, sk66rc. I have tried living this way before and you sound like you are getting a bit bored with this. Well, don't this is just so very adorable and special that you have each other with this. When my partner got too tired of this way we got into such big fights and eventually just had to part ways since I wanted to keep doing this and he thought it too expensive still somehow. Fell very lucky and fortunate that you have someone to share this with you both feel needed and cared for in ways doing this it is a great relationship bonding thing to do too. If you keep up with it that is, keep the hope alive for the rest of us still out here searching for our own special someone like this. Thanks,A.B.

I think the real trick is to decide whether or not you really need it at all and then not spend anything if you realise that you don't.
Sometimes we need to replace things or do have genuine needs (or sometimes a little splurge! ) but I've found that as I've gotten older I'm really hard to sell anything to!

I really agree here you must still purchase the things your really do have aneedfor and life is funner when you can have a little slurge too. I do think when we get older it is harder to sell much to us too. Thanks,A.B.

Great idea. I found a few sites that offer greatly discounted urban clothing for men and women. Lots of skate brands too. I already placed 3 orders and spent under 20 dollars! I love to save money
