Hi Leon, There are many spammers online now a days. That's why we should always be careful of opening those messages and those links in our emails or private messages.Have the same experience too,I open an email and on the next day my email is already hacked and they used it by sending spam emails to all my contacts...:(

Hi... I've been fortunate that I've not lost any money through frauds and cheats... But yes, many years before, when internet and chatting was quite new in India, a girl talked me into love on chat. I'd not even seen her, and she fooled me for a couple of months... :-(

Unless you specifically asked that person to send you details of the program, that person was abusing the services of MyLot by sending you spam. You should always report such things to Admin by sending a message to GoAskAlice with details of the person's username and a copy of the message. You should also remove the person from your friends list. MyLot tries to run a good site and the rules about abusing the site are very clear. It can only be kept safe from people who are abusing the service, especially in the use of Private Messaging, if members report all incidents, such as spam, flaming and harassment. MyLot does take any report like this seriously and will deal with the person appropriately.

Hi leon and welcome to myot. First of all you said that this is your fourth day so do not trust anyone. Add trusted mylotters from whom you see regular participation on mylot. Also I never EVER give my phone number and address. If I have to I give a fake address but phone number-never. I just apply for sign up tasks from an email id I have specifically created for such tasks. If the worst happens I can delete that id right. I advice you to do the same.

There are many cheaters who try to deceit honest people online. You need to consider every message carefully and never trust people who offer marvelous earnings. Nothing is for free. My mother in law found a website with amazing job offers. She has a lot of experience and was delighted to find someone who was ready to pay for her services. She applied for the job, posted her CV and her recommendations and after a few minutes she was accepted. I told her that it is impossible for someone to accept you as an employee without an interview. When she followed the link received in her email she knew it was a scheme. They asked her for 1000$ for processing the papers required for the employment.
