I'm actually new in Mylott and I have to say that I like it. I'm not wasting my time and I'm also earning somehow. But most of all, I get to learn new things and meet new people. I'm just wondering though, do you guys read again your post after composing them or immediately post them?
I'm a lazy type so I seldom read again my post after making them. How about you?

I don't. I immediately post it.
I re-read it after posting So that's the only time I get to see all those errors I've made. Sometimes my replies doesn't make sense because of the errors

that can really help...
but not the grammars or some words we placed on wrong sides.
it will really be helpful if those green underline is also available here, the one in MS Word

High 5! Me too. I immediately post but I don't re-read it again after posting. I immediately go to another discussion. I like to do discussion hopping. Though the red underline helps me a lot if I do typo or not. ^_^

Welcome to mylot. Its true we get to meet a lot of people here and learn a lot of new things. I too have learnt a lot in these last three years that I have been here. This site is indeed fun and I am sure you will enjoy yourself. I seldom read the posts here before submitting because I am always in a hurry to go on to the next discussion.

I really do try to reread my posts but sometimes I post without double checking or skim through the post miss all the mistakes, which cannot be fixed afterwards, and post the message only to see all the mistakes afterwards. I have to admit if mylot had an edit button, I would probably use it more often then I would like, but alas my mistakes are there for everyone to see.

Same here leeloo. But if there was an edit button them it could confuse the responders because you can change the idea of your post or add up again to it. I think even if there was an edit button, I'd rarely use it unless I have to. ^_^

Yepz! But let's leave whatrow be. If she wants to post that way, then so be it. I'm sure she knows what she is doing. Judging from her number of posts, I bet she has been here for some quite time already. ^_^

I know Lily. I read the guidelines too. I'm just saying that let's just leave her alone. Don't waste your energy on something that is not worth. ^_^

welcome to mylot. One thing is important --that is we cannot change what we post. so it is better to read and then press the post comment button. good day.

Sometimes yes, I do read my topic before I post them. But when replying to certain topics other Mylotters started, I don't sometimes check it out before sending it. Probably I am in a hurry and does not have much time when I visit Mylot.

I am too in a hurry sometimes. You see, when I see a lot of interesting discussion, I open them in multiple tabs and I just can't wait to type and reply to the discussion. My fingers ache to reply to them as soon as possible. I know that I should re-read before posting but sometimes, I am too lazy to do so. ^_^

Hello cieldz!
Both you and Lily are the same. That's a good practice. I only recheck once. Its like chatting to me here. What my mind dictates, I type it immediately, read it then post. I know that spelling and grammar checks are important but as long as it can be understood then it's good enough. ^_^

That's a good practice Iram. I also do that when I insert a sentence or word etc... Keep up the good job! Happy Mylotting ^_^

I know. I also get mistakes when I post them immediately. That's good that you still do some checking. I know I usually don't :P

Same here! But thanks to the red underlines, I seldom have wrong spellings. But I think it doesn't really matter, as long as your post is understandable. ^_^

I keep on reading it making it sure that it definitely be understand by genral users here whatever region they are or their language, so that I caught some responses also regarding with my discussion. I feel sad whenever my discussion hasn't any response on it. I feel like no one understand it.

I feel your pain airkulet. What matters is your post can be understood by the many. I also had a discussion which has no post. It was actually a long discussion and I was expecting that somehow, someone would reply but to no avail, no one did. Oh well, probably it is too long that people are too lazy to read it. ^_^

Let's just leave those wrong spellings be. I mean, whats important is the content and thought of the post right?

I mostly used to read the posts which i am going to post. I am doing so because I am little weak in English. If we post the contents with mistakes, how the readers can read the post. So i think it is very important to read the post twice which you are going to post in mylot.

I actually don't mind the wrong spelling nor the grammar checks as long as the content of the post can be understood. ^_^

I think we are all somewhat guilty of not proofreading our work. Sometimes I find so many errors that it's really hard to actually read and understand the post and I'm talking about people who's first language is English!!
I sometimes make glaring errors but I think I mostly do OK. If I think my post doesn't make sense, I will add a comment with a correction.
I think we have to try and set a good example for those who are trying to improve their English.

I never read through my posts before posting them. It's pretty bad when you are using a tablet computer that doesn't have a real keyboard and it puts in something you didn't expect. The first time I was in the hospital (in December) I tried to type the word "and" and what was posted was "android" and I couldn't understand some of the responses that asked what was that all about. I looked at the original post and saw the problem. Needless to say, I didn't make any more posts or responses after that until I had access to a real computer. And when I found out that I would have to be admitted once per cycle during my chemo, I went and bought a new laptop since I was also in online classes (not going on over the holiday season when I was in the hospital). Thanks for bringing this up!

Good for you! I rarely read it again. Posting in Mylot is like chatting to me. My mind dictates what I say then my fingers immediately to their stuff. I sometimes get a typo but the red underline helps me to prevent typos. Thanks beamer! Happy Mylotting ^_^

Yes, I reread my posting before I send it to post. I want to make sure it makes sense as well as I look for typing errors or spelling errors as I want it to be as perfect as possible. I think you can tell from that comment that I am a bit of a perfectionist. But I do make mistakes with my spelling quite a bit and I am trying to get better by checking.
I don't use the preview response link on here to do that though. I just look it over myself and then I use the post response link. I love mylot because of the benefits of being a member here. And I don't just mean the money or the friends that I make here, I am talking about the benefits of getting better with my grammer and spelling and my typing skills. Since I became a member with mylot, and that hasn't been very long, my typing skills have gotten so much better. I can now type without looking at my fingers anymore, I can just look at the screen now so now I can catch my spelling errors right away but I still read it over to make sure it still makes sense.
littlemissy here signing off for now,
talk to you later my friend

Same here! I feel like chatting everytime I post something and that I don't reread them anymore. Like you, I sometimes see some mistakes. Sometimes I don't since I usually post then go to another discussion. Hahahah! ^_^
