I think that Xanax is addictive...so be careful. I think that there is a need for certain medications sometimes and this can be a good one. It does effect the way you feel so I don't think that driving is a good idea while on it. It greatly depends on the dosage too. I wish I knew more about it to tell you.

No...I did have a girl that worked for me who started taking it for a while though. Sometimes she seemed like she had been drinking, but it was the Xanax. I couldn't schedule her on certain duties because of that medicine's effects. Maybe it was just too strong for her...she was a little thing. She decided that she couldn't take it and function the way she wanted. I don't know if you have to build a tolerance to it or what but it just wasn't for her. She takes something different now and it doesn't effect her like the Xanax did.

I was prescribed Xanax a few weeks ago. It's been much more helpful than the medication that I was on before, but when my doctor told me that's what she wanted me to try I think I had a mini heart attack. While I was in the mental hospital, I met a girl who wound up there because she was addicted to Xanax. When I went to pick up the prescription, I was required to listen to a woman explain the medication could be "habit-forming". I'd already had the unfortunate experience of seeing the cautionary tale first-hand. So far I only take half a pill whenever I feel I'm going to be in an anxiety-inducing situation.

I have been on xanax for about 3 months and it has helped greatly with my anxiety. Although if I have gone more than 5 hours with out one I start to feel like I need another one
