i don't use cellphone any more. i don't text or even call any more. when i needed to contact my friends i just message them in facebook. after all they are just active online so i can contact them online any time. so the less need to use cellphone to contact them. at least i don't get charged for using the phone.

quite correct, cellphones do not deserve constant use. there is the internet as means of communicating with friends. without cellphone though, no one is able to contact a person if he's not online. i don't think cellphone is very useful but in some days just might regret not having it around.

Haha..! Its good idea... I really like your idea. But i am asking a question- you told that I can talk with my friends. But sometimes you want to talk with your relatives. In that time what do you do?
I like your character-Stopped using Cell phones.

I hardly ever use my cell phone lately. Thanks to the internet I have a better way to stay in touch with my friends and family, so sometimes I realize that I didn't turn my phone on all day. A couple years ago my cell phone was always ringing and I thought it would drive me crazy, it's much better now.

This is very unusual. As today almost everybody will have a cellphone. I am surprised that you don't need it any more. Although you can still contact your friends online. But sometimes when you go out, it is difficult for others to contact you.

Not having a cellphone for a few hours is also a welcome break for me. It is really a time to be stress-free
I also contact old friends through Facebook. I have a lot of busy friends and I understand if my text message is left unanswered.
Have a nice day, hotsummer!

Well, yeah- if you cna just do something for free- why bother paying for it. I think I am going to follow what you are doiong since texting and calling through cell phones have become more expensive these days.

Wow! That's something. For me, it would be very difficult not to use my celfones. I have 3 different lines being used. And whenever I forgot to bring my phones, I tend to miss them. It always seem that something is missing and my day is not complete.
Congratulations to you. I bet you are able to save a lot from not using it.
Have a nice day!

I haven't used a cellphone for years, and it feels so freakingly good. The only way to stop needing it is stop using it ! using it creates you the "necessity" of sticking to it all the way. Just put it away and go out living !

Not using the phone is a good option but what if anyone calls you on an emergency? Your family members or friends or whoever, if they are in need of you then how do they contact you? By Facebook? LOL! I am sorry, just kidding!
I have heard that cell phone causes damage to the brain and i also believe but I just can't be away from my phone. I got addicted to it, I love listening music all the time and when I miss my love i always contact her through call or message.

Good for you, but still cell phones can be used especially for emergencies whenever you are traveling or just going out of your house. Unless you are using something like ipad/tablet/laptops aside from cellphone because you can bring them with you but can be more inconvenient. Anyway, it's everybody's choice. Good day!

I also want to throw my phone away. But it may get worse if I did. when I was out, and have something emergency, I have to make a phone call to my friends or my family. without it, I can do nothing. so I think at present I can hardly find another tool which can really replace it, if I could, I must put it into the rubbish hole. can you find one, if so please let me know.
