Are you still proud to be a Filipino?

Hello gracee! I can say that I am still proud of being a Filipino. Yes, we are going through a lot of problems, not just personally but as a Filipino, especially when it comes to political issues and crimes. There are a lot of negativity around but I don't focus on that, I am still proud because despite all our struggles we are able to stand up and face it. Many Filipinos are still doing their greatest in their own field. Filipinos are doing good in almost every part of the world. Aside from that, nothing beats the Filipino traits of being hospitable and helping each other even in time of troubles. Happy mylotting red_amethyst

I'm proud to be a Filipino. It is my Mother Land...I was born here and will die on here to be a Filipino... Whatever be happen into this country I still be proud to be a Filipino. Because this what my grand parenst, parents raise me as good citizens of the Philippines... How about you, friend?

i still am. despite those politicians giving a bad name to our country, i am still proud to be a Filipino because there are still Filipinos who unselfishly give their services and do things that make us proud. I am still proud because there are still those that care. it is frustrating that there seems to be a growing number of crooks but i believe there is still a majority of good Filipinos.

Of course I am proud to be a Filipino. No matter what happens, this is me, this is us. We all have lots of things, traits, and tradition to be proud of. No matter how bad some issues regarding us come, I wont stop being a proud Filipino. We only have one nation and one blood. These and all the heritage plus the way we were brought up by our parents and how we stand to our own beliefs will always be something to be truly proud of. Filipinos are continuously making a mark in history and creating good examples to the world. We may have some negative issues but I believe those are thing that should be erased one day because of the amazing things that some truly wonderful pinoys are setting in the history.

I am proud to be a Filipino and it will always be. Although our politicians today are making bad image for out country, this has nothing do for me. I still love to be a Filipino and our country. We may not be a first world country but still we are very rich in natural resources. Filipinos are known to be hospitable people. Foreigners love the Philippines because of its people. I am proud of our culture, traditions, food and language. Happy mylotting!

yes, i am still proud to be a Filipino and always will. i have a refined culture and traits that i acquired from my Filipino parents. I may not know all the cultures of other countries but surely ours are one of the best among the rest. some of the countries were admired by their amazing places and landmarks but us, were admired by being hospitable and warm. we don't have the resources in terms of modern equipments, etc but we have the excellent knowledge on this. we already suffered many types of problems in and affected by others countries but we still stand tall. Filipinos are worth being proud of. its our time to shine. =)

I believe I am. of course. Though I may have felt irritated at what is happening here in the country, and though i feel that we do deserve more, and we should not let anything get the best of us as a nation.. well of course i know that this race has proven so many things already and we should be proud to carry on the name, the right to live and to make mistakes along side that.. but we should redeem ourselves.

Yes, I am s proud of being a Filipino, especially with all the fame Filipinos are gaining- like the youtube singers, Charice, Kitchen Musical, Miss World, Pacquiao.. There are so many things to be proud of, like our positivity and creativity amidst life's problems..

I am proud to be a Filipino because I can speak the international or world-wide language which is English (just one of the reasons) :) Even if we are being degraded by other (not all) race or nations, we are still the Filipinos who are hospitable, hard working, respectful and G0d-fearing people. It's so sad when other Filipinos intentionally gave a bad reputation to the country or to their fellow countrymen. Good thread here, Grace.

hi graceekwenx i am proud filipina because of the raise, my color , i am born here at phillipines and i have many friends and i can say that filipino's are much more better rather than other raises.

yes i am proud of being one. because the Pinoy is resilient...because we know how to rise above adversity, all the while smiling. we make the occasional foul ups but what other nation does not? so yes, proud pinay i am :)
