Arsenal beat Norwich 2-1 to continue their resurrection in the premier league table. It was again Van the Man who scored both the goals for Arsenal. After a very easy tap in for the first goal, the second was a sublime chip shot over the goalkeeper. After a long time Theo Walcott had a great game for Arsenal, running around the defenders for most of the game. The only real blip for Arsenal was another poor game for Mertesacker who was at mistake for the Norwich goal!!
So Arsenal's great run continues!!
Cheers!

Robin Van Persie is amazing, He's one of the players I most admire from other teams (I support Manchester United).

Yes, I came to know of this result, a close result where Arsenal have won by a 1 goal margin. But, watch out, Dortmund are coming this Wednesday on the back of a very good display against an inform Bayern team whom they beat away from home. I really hope that this time, BVB plays the same way away from home in the champions league, the way they played last year in the Bundesliga.

As I explained earlier, the teams in Germany concentrate better when they play against Bayern and fight like their lives depend on that result. Unfortunately, I have hardly seen this will in the German teams in European stage, and that is one of the main reasons for why they don't have so important performances outside Germany.
I hope that Dortmund will upset Arsenal, for the good of the German football, but I don't see this happening.

Having watched a few of Norwich's game this season, I am impressed by their never-say-die attitude. When they took the lead, there is this dread feelings yet again. But thankfully, it is RVP to the rescue yet again. This represent Gunners' second away win on the road. After their dreadful start, they are slowly climbing up the table. Having said that, I still believe that the league title challenge is over.

Mertesacker is not the same anymore, I really don't like his performance at the national team neither. He is slow, he has no spirit in him and really gives up very easily.
As for van Persie, he seems to score at will in the Premier League, and he has real chances to win the Golden Boot if he continues this way.
Arsenal is doing what I expected from them, to recover after a very poor start and things seems to get from better to better. I expect them to beat the hell out from Dortmund in the Champions League.

I am actually surprised that he is playing at this level for a club like Arsenal and for a team like Germany and performing in this manner. Of course he is good in the air, but the clumsy way in which he tried to clear the ball leading to the first Norwich goal was really not acceptable for any of the bigger clubs!! But thanks to Vermaelen there was some stability in the Arsenal back four.
Cheers!

For the Norwich goal, Mertesacker allowed the ball to bounce in the D and allowed the striker who was behind him to sneak in front of him and steal the ball from under him and score the goal. So it was really poor poor defensive work. First rule of defense is not to let the ball bounce in the D when a striker is sneaking behind you. The second rule is to use your body to block the striker from getting in front of you!! He did not do either and conceded the goal.
Cheers!

Because I haven't seen the action, I cannot say anything about it, but I have noticed a very huge downfall in Mertesacker's performances in the last years. That is why I was surprised when Wenger bought him. Maybe he will manage to stabilize more and he will improve his all around performance.

After having some defeats early in the season Arsenal managed a great come back in the season. At first I thought they will not be there in the top four list at the end. But, now I think they can.
