I don't really like buying the gifts very early and I buy all in December.
But I know some people do it a lot earlier.
So tell me, when do you buy your Christmas gifts?

I'm done by Halloween mostly. There are just times where I want to get it out of the way. Granted, I'm not getting too many gifts for people this year. Whoever didn't tell me what they needed is getting money. That's just the way things work. I'm on a time table, I don't like being out in the holiday season with all of the insanity, brawling with people over the last of a certain type of electronic.
Granted, I do most of my shopping online, but still I like to get it done most of the time rather early. If something gets placed on back order or something along those lines. That can really inflame my nerves to an absurd degree to say the very least. Christmas gifts are to be bought rather early. I got that tradition from my parents and it's carried on.

I always say I am going to start in July so I can have my stuff finished before the Christmas rush but I never do. I haven't started buying before November before. I am also usually out on Christmas Eve getting the last minute stuff too. I went to Walmart at 4am this past Christmas Eve. That is the earliest I have ever been but I managed to beat the rush and get the stuff I needed.

I don't buy Christmas gifts. I give cash to my loved ones, put it in an envelope with a Christmas message which I personally make, instead of a Christmas card. With the cash, they will be able to get whatever it is that they want. I cook something special, too. Have a peaceful, meaningful and joyous Christmas, ygna.

Never. I don't buy Christmas gifts. I never did and I will never do. I don't see the reason why you should give presents at Christmas.
Christmas was officially the celebration of "light in the dark", the longest night. Long before the christians came. Also the christmastrees with candles stands symbol for that.
But the presents, Santa Claus it beats me where they come from.
I can understand the being together, cosy candle nights, some food to keep you warm (nuts, chocolate, fruit) during those days but the rest? A big no.

Christmas is the season of giving to celebrate the gift given to us by the Son of God. Since we have a loving Father in Heaven, the gifts are symbolic of His love. I like to buy throughout the year, but since I have been alone for the past 10 years, there is no point to it. However it is still the time of year to celebrate love and giving.

I finished all of my Christmas shopping in October this year, because I got a big payment at the beginning of the month and decided that I should get all of it done while I had the money to be able to do so. I don't normally do it that early but I thought that it might be a good idea while I had the money to be able to at that point. I am very glad that I have got all of it sorted now, because it's meant that I can have more time to wrap the things and also to stay nice and relaxed about everything that I need to do to get ready for Christmas Day.

I usually buy a month earlier but now that I'm being very busy at what I'm doing, I'm planning to buy two weeks before the celebration. It's fun giving and getting presents at holidays!
