sometimes i would hear people t say something like they are talking to me, and if i ask them to repeat cause i didn't hear it well, they will just say like, "nothing, i was just talking to myself." i do feel weird when they would say they were just talking to themselves. like they just blurted out what they were thinking. i don't usually have this kind of habit cause i don't feel comfortable doing that. maybe it is just normal to some people.

I don't have this habit either, but I've seen people talking to themselves sometimes. Especially when you walk on the street it is very likely to pass by someone and listen to him talking, but there is no phone, handsfree or anyone next to him! Only once I remember that I had to memorise my presentation for the university. I was walking alone going to the library and I was practicing the presentation loud. I could see other people looking at me because I was talking to myself but I didn't really care because I was so stressed. :)

I have this habbit of talking to myself. I dont know if its a good habbit or not but i sometime talk to myself. When i have lots of things in my mind and i dont share those things to others then i think within myself and i talk to myself. I dont like sharing lots of things with others. May be that is way do like this. I question myself if anything is wrong or rite. Then i conclude in one thing just talking to myself. Do you guys think this is not a good habbit or is this some kind of illness. I would appretiate your response. Help me in this please guys.

don't worry prabin_jee, its a perfectly ok thing to do, it would only be a problem if you thought you were talking to someone else, you are only saying what you are thinking out loud, and as long as you know thats what you are doing its not a problem. its just a thinking out loud process thats all.

Yes, it's nothing wrong with that. It depends on the person, I prefer writing my thoughts instead of thinking loud to take my decisions. If this is your way of taking better decisions then it's normal.

It does happen that sometimes I will talk to myself. It's usually when I'm alone. I tend not to do it in public, where there are a lot of people, but it still does happen from time to time. I'm not entirely sure why I do it. I just do it. It's something that I've done for a while.

yes when i can not talk straight forward to the person ,then when the person is not available i go out of control and start talking what ever comes in my mind,it is becox i go out of my control with anger and my mouth starts talking and it tells out a lot whihc is in my heart at that time.Though it can be changed after my anger goes off and i become a normal person.

Yeah sometimes, i do talk to myself privately when no one hears me mostly if i have problems to solve. I keep on analyzing the things to be and not to be done.. Sometimes also when i talk and no one bothers to listen and suddenly they realize i was talking and asking what is it? I was answering..ah well im talking to my hand...she its here.. c",)

Sometimes??nah..i do it oftentimes.hahah!I am not sure if is still normal. I sometimes ask myself if I'm still normal. I thought I'm the only one doing it.Good news for me i have company.Haha!Maybe it is not common but we do this because we are stressed or we are not expressive. Instead of seeking someone to talk to, we do some "role playing". I do it in front of a mirror sometimes. Funny but it relieves me when I'm confused or depress. Of course I make sure no one is listening or i keep my voice low. I don't want them to think I'm insane.ahahahha!

Doesn't everyone? I think that there are many times where I am sitting right here at the computer screen, muttering at myself, trying to figure out what exactly I need to do. I am going to really just be talking about any number of things. There are any number of things going on in my brain and I can see how it is going to be confusing, when a lot of people are hearing it being said out loud. I think the partially thoughts being put out vocally is just something that rattles people. Yet, there are times where I can carry on a conversation, trying to work me through a lot of times. Where I am rather going to get things done. As long as I don't start arguing with myself, then I am still going to be mostly sane. At least that's how I see things.

I think, when a person tells you that, she got offended by you not being able to hear her when she first said that. It seems to her that you are not that interested to hear it, so you seem like do not want to hear it. So, she said that. I speak through experience.

Yes, I usually talk to myself, sometimes the voice can be heard, sometimes cannot. It is normal and very common. Actually, I guess most of the people have this experience, just some talk to themselves loudly, some speak only in mind or heart.

I do talk to myself sometimes. Especially if I'm doing things and something's really hard to figure out. My mom would ask me what am I saying and I would just say I am trying to do something.

I also often talk to myself. Especially when I think of a thing, or when I'm angry. More often, when I had to choose something. And I sometimes, being such a fool.

Funny but I always do especially if I made a mistake. Just want remind of perhaps reprimand myself not to make mistake again. Talking to oneself is not bad, It is like communicating your inner you. sounds weird but this is therapeutic in its sense.

Sometimes when people say that "just talking to myself" line it's because they don't feel like repeating what they just said, haha. I do talk aloud to myself, mostly when I'm alone, because it really helps me think and work through any problems I have, somehow. I don't really do it around others since I feel weird doing it.

I know some people with that behavior in my surroundings. I, sometimes, can talk to myself when I am alone. But I never did it in public.. :P

I used to talk to myself quite frequently when I was a child (lonely and had no friends). Usually it was my imagination playing out some great scenario and I didn't realize I was talking through it out loud. As an almost-forty grown up, I do notice I mumble and mutter a bit sometimes when I have a lot on my mind or am concentrating on something. Its kind of like moving your lips when you read, only your speaking your thoughts when you think. Nothing to panic about, a lot of people do it. It's right up there with humming a song that's in your head. Or even singing it for that matter. You have nothing to feel uncomfortable about. Unless you come across someone having a loud conversation with an invisible person, the behaviour is nothing to worry about. People who are highly creative are more likely to behave this way. It's second to dreaming in colour. Just the way some minds are woven.

Well for me talking to your self is one way of evaluating your self, and to know more about your self, well I guess that"s ok.
