Well there are definitely a massive collection of zombie movies, others with an unknown origin, others with a viral infection. I remember when I was young we used to have a zombie that has a paranormal origin inspired by evil itself, on the other hand zombies now are created mostly from laboratory experiment, air borne viral infection. Can you guys think of a very original back story like my example?

I remember old zombie movies where the zombies lived on islands. I cannot remember the name of them though.

Wow that is something original. Zombies lived in an island, then what? Are they waiting to be rescued? Probably making a huge bonfire. Eating anything living in that island and etc.

I think this is the Zombi 2 movie from way back 1979 that was directed by Lucio Fulci.

oooH I've seen a lot of that
My mom was so into Zombie/scary movies. The last scary movie we saw is Wrong Turn 4. Normally these zombies were abused and transformed into an ugly looking monster/creature. They can survive in a secluded part of the town even for a long year.
I just hate the part that characters in the film are so dumb not to escape when they get the chance to.

Wow, I never really thought about it but most now days are some sort of experiment that mutates and turns into a zombie infectious nightmare. Some of the older ones where there was a combination of storms and lunar influences that resulted in graveyards having all their corpses reanimated. I even seen a samsung (I think) commercial where zombies were created due to some spoiled milk. In any event, I love zombie movies and look forward to seeing more.

The spoiled milk seems an original back story. I love a nice zombie movies but hate lame ones. Who would ever thought that zombies can be made from fermenting dairy products, such brilliant mind.

Yes that idea is nice, but how about other food? Would that bacteria only appear on dairy products? How about grains? Meat products?

Well, the zombie virus could be from an asteroid from outerspace. Or something that was formed by man himself by finding a cure t the global wrming and climate change...They were experimenting or something then the fluid went int the dams...? It is quite hard t come up with a new and original story since lots of zombie movies have been made in the past decades..

So we can all assume that this new type of creatures are semi alien origin zombies. It fascinating how we can come up with such rich ideas. Anyway, I think zombies are way too easy to handle, with some light armor to avoid getting bitten, I am planning to go head to head with them. Lol.

Isn't that suppose to be a vampire movie rather than a zombie film? Anyway, incorporating vampires and zombies has a unique twist in story.

what if
there's an alternate world where everyone has magic and can astral project. but not everyone is good at it. so those with less magical power and know how are prone to loose their souls during astral projection, and the soul-less bodies become zombies.
ok, i hate zombie movies but i think what i came up with is pretty original right? :P

Very interesting. How do they get rotten? Where do they get their appetite to eat humans? Maybe they are just plain hungry and since they are disoriented they tend to see us as foods. Hmmmm..

Wow that is very creative, but what animates those soul-less bodies? Keep it coming. Anyway as far as I can remember, old school zombies don't have the ability to infect their prey, they just happen to gain that ability starting in the 90's I guess.

souls of the other people trying to get back to their own bodies? and the misfit causes them to act like zombies as they have no means to fully control nor "live" within a body. that or people with stronger magic can use the soul-less bodies as mere puppets mobilized by their magic :P

Let me think...
I once watched a classic zombie movie. I forgot the title but the cause of that phenomenon started when there's an old woman who was bitten by a Sumatran rat monkey and thus the infection spread all over the house...

This is quite something. Like a certain disease from a virus or rabies of a certain local animal which drives them mad, so insane they started to eat humans, and the rotten part maybe came from the wounds achieve through savagery.
