What is the very best way to keep my brand new $300 DVD player clean? Do I ned to take it apart? And what cleaning agents can I put on it?

I suggest you follow the instruction manual that comes with this "expensive" DVD player you have. I said expensive because DVD player's noramlly cost USD 100. Unless you are referring to a portable DVD player then the price is reasonable. If you follow the suggestion you'll get here on mylot for the cleaning agent, you might used a solution which is not suited to the DVD player your have that is why it is better that you go check the manual first.
