Many have answered 9 and some 1
but in Algebra math, 2b/2b=1
Why this seems like a different rules when it is Algebra Math and General Math?

Hi moon19in,
9 and 1 answers are correct depending on how you write your equation. See below for the difference.
If you write your equation like this one, the answer is 9.
6(1+2)
------------ = 9
2
6(3)
------- = 9
2
18
------ = 9
2
9 = 9
Otherwise, if you write your equation like this one,
6
-------- = 1
2(1+2)
6
------- = 1
2 (3)
6
------- = 1
6
1 = 1
Hope this helps.

with due sincerity,
working can never goes like that e.g.
if u have a question like dis
x/y(2)
it is the numerator dat carries the bracket fig.
that is x is the owner of the bracket fig which is 2
i.e
x/y(2)=
2x/y
hope it helps all u any body can still enlighten us more.

6/2(1+2) = 1
(6/2)(1+2) = 9

There is no "different rules" in solving that mathematical questions, there is only one rule for that which is MDAS, the reason why some answered 9 is because some don't know what is the rule.

There is no way the answer for this is 9. MDAS rule should apply, that means you need to multiply first before dividing. In this case the solution should be this way : 6/2(1+2) = 6/2(3) = 6/6=1. The correct answer to this problem is 1 and never 9.
