I take an engineering course now that I am in college. Engineering has so much connection on Mathematics subject. Mathematics is slashing my brain. We are now on integral calculus. The topic is really very hard and complicated.
Mylotters, what can you say about mathematics subject?

Oh..! I have not think Mathematics is a tough subject. I get full mark in Mathematics. Sometimes less 1 mark only. I think mathematics is a easy subject.

Yes.., You are correct. I told that I can sallow easily. But many students tell that ' maths is a very tough subject'. But I don't feel in that way.

When it comes to simple arithmatic, that is something that I've always been able to do well. I kind of had a hard time with algebra, but I did eventually get it when I had a good teacher to teach me in high school. I absolutely love geometry and I aced. Then was calculus, which I had to take twice, once in high school and again in college because I didn't take the AP test when I was in high school. In high school it was unbelievably easy to me. In college, I actually struggled because we had to do computer base calculus and I struggled because of the program that we had to use.
With that said, I really like math, but it really depends on what kind of math as to how much I like it.

Mathematics is a difficult subject. I am afraid of it since I often failed it when I was a student. I think I just don't have talent in this subject. Everybody is different. Some are good at some subjects and seldom students can mater all the subjects well.

Mathematics is like programming, you will only master them if you work hard. Try to think that even though you will not have any use of math you will have passing grade anyway. You can also discuss the subject with your classmate to learn faster.

When I was studying, I so love Math subjects especially when I was in high school. Math is my basis why I took up Engineering course in my college.
The main reason why I love Math over other subjects, you do not need to memorize everything. Once you know how to formulate your equation, surely you can provide correct answer to the problem.

Hi mate, for me, Mathematics is enjoyable. Just practice solving problems and once you get the idea, you will enjoy it. Also, understanding the problem also plays a critical role so try practicing this one too.

What I can tell from my experience in dealing with math is you will need some understanding and a lot of practice, of course you will first need to have your basic strong before you can go further to the tougher one. There are ways to learn and understand math, what you need to do is to look for a lot of examples and see how a answer can be calculated and extrapolate. Since you are studying in Engineering course, you have no choice but to deal with math.

Oh, no. Mathematics is a biiig part of engineering. So I guess you have no choice but to understand it. I love Math. Favorite subject when I was still in school. Sometimes, with complex math, you just have to take it piece by piece ~ always remember the basics, before tackling the entire problem on hand. It's an exact science so the advantage is that you can always check your self whether you're wrong or you're right. Don't be intimidated by it. Good luck!

I didn't take my calculus yet, but as of my mathematics is concern, I never had the problem solving. One of my favorite subject is math. I feel my head alive every time I am in my math room. Maybe we have our own forte, which we excel. And I think no subject is difficult when you study hard. Goodluck!

I love to love Mathematics. But it never loved me back.
I can say that when I was studying, I was a bit good in some Math classes and passed them all. Integral Calculus is really hard but somehow I've managed to like that during those times I'm taking it. It might be that my professor is really good in teaching, maybe that's one of the reason I understood it that time and passed the subject. Unfortunately I could not remember it now.em]lol[/em] Sometimes If I get confused and couldn't figure it out I would asked my smart classmate/friend to teach me.
Few months back, I tried to check that out on the Internet because one of my friend has enrolled that subject because he still has incomplete subjects. And he was forcing me to solve the projects he was given to him. Sadly I really could not remember it Tried looking for my notes, it was gone now. Don't know where my mom has put it or if she already trashed my notes.

Even when I was in high school my favorite subject is Math. Actually, this is one of my basis why I took up Engineering course. With regards to Integral Calculus, well for me I managed to understand and solve it when I was in school. Sometimes the one teaches the subject is one factor for the student to say that it is easy or difficult.

Hello kaichoukebz, Mathematics is subject which we should have studied since the Primary class itself. It should have a proper base, the all goes right. But my view is that once you loved the subject, things will come under your way.
Let me ask a friendly question. I think you also have Graphics for Engineering, how's it?

I can feel your pain. I took different mathematics classes in college. One was business math. You would think that wasn't that hard, but that is the hardest class I ever took. I wish you well.

That must be really, really tough! Mathematics is really so tough I agree with you. Imagine how complicated this Integral Calculus is! Engineering course is not advisable to those like me who hate Mathematics. This Mathematics is the very reason I never really became the Valedictorian. I ended up just Second Placer because Mathematics truly made it so hard for me.

Math was never my strong point. Already the school even for a simple numerical calculations, I used the electronic calculator.
Now that I finished my studies are somewhat improved, but for years it was a pain.

I do commiserate with you calculus was always my dread and was the same for many others in my group as an engineering apprentice. How I managed to get round it I can't remember, as now 63, but I survived and work for Rolls Royce for 39 years.
I will say that I never needed it aftew I left college.
