cooking is actually very easy, when you know to boil eggs then u can easily boil and cook vegetables and rice. start with soups, and stir fry items, then steam items etc...

I do humanity a great service by not cooking and therefore my fellow man is not poisoned by me and can live and multiply!
When I was single I kept myself alive long enough to find the love of my life and marry. Thanks to her I am thriving over 40 years later.
I have friends who have lost their wives and they are doing a great job teaching themselves to cook. We are invited round for a meal and he is there with his list of jobs and a stop watch ready to turn the heat down or up. My wife lifts the lid, gives the food a prod and says its ready! Looks of admiration from both us men for her skills.
Yes, cooking is possible I suppose but I pray that I go first with a full tummy and a satisfied smile on my face.

I used to be like you and I was strictly into frying foods and that's about it. But for me, things got interested when I watched cooking shows and watched my paternal grandmother do her job in the kitchen. Now I discovered my passion in cooking and my only regret is that I didn't take the culinary course when I was in college.

Oh my. Same here. I don't know how to actually cook from scratch or make something. I do go out to buy and get something to eat. Actually my mom does cooking. I think I prefer baking than cooking. I know how to the eggs and warm foods from store bought. I think I need to learn how to cook. But then i generally don't like to clean dishes alot if i keep on cooking. I think we should learn how to cook basic food. Try buying some foods from grocery store and use them for cooking. About cooking, the only thing is get a cook book and gather all the ingredients. Also what you are going to cook, depends on what you want to eat. Do you have cook books?

In my case I know how to do frying, preparing noodles & boiling eggs but I don't know how to cook simple dishes even I'm guided with recipe & manuals.
The appearance & taste of the food turns into disaster.
Until now I never quit trying cause I love eating but sad to say I'm very slow in learning how too cook.....
Sooner or later I must master cooking =)

There are several sites that help with cooking
http://www.reluctantgourmet.com/technic.htm
shows all the basic skills needed for cooking as well as what they are called. The ideal is a site like
http://allrecipes.com/
have videos to help you along, then you could also just type in a dish you would like to learn to make and see if anyone has posted the recipe and a video on how to make it. Cooking is not difficult it just requires practice, the ideal is to start with simple easy to do recipes and build your confidence to make more complicated meals.

First,i want to know how old are you. Well, i ask this question because, you know, when i am 20 years old, i almost didn't know anything about cooking either. After i graduated from college and went to work, I left my hometown to a far place, so i have to eat in eatery. Of course, i can't eat in eatery all the time. So i tried to learn how to cook little by little. Actually, at first, i even don't know what should be put into the pan first.
But as time went on, and as i got married, and had kid, my ability to cook improved little by little. You know, though i can't say i am a good cook, but my son is healthy and strong with the foods i cook.

It's impractical to cook if you are just alone in your house. Maybe you can just buy your food. It serves you the energy in cooking and washing those cooking utensils. And besides, sometimes you don't feel like eating the same food in a day.
But then, it would be nice if you really will learn how to cook even the basic things, like sauteing. At least you are ready for it when the time comes for you to marry.

I didn't know how to cook complicated foods before. I didn't know how to bake and all. In short, I only knew to fried a food lol . But when I was alone in my house for a month, I decided to learn to cook. I watched some videos online and printed out some recipes. It was effective, I have been cooking since then.

Hi, the feeling is mutual. I love cooking and i like to invade our kitchen but sad to say i dont have a inherent talent for it. I believe cooking is a talent and a gift. We think its so simple to do it but what cooking makes it amazing is it is being dash with the love and passion of the cook. In some aspect it can be learned and try until you reach your flavor.

I Love to eat, thats why i Love to cook.. During my childhood because i live with my grandparents they always tell us "you should learn how to cook.. It us better to cook on your own than waiting for somebody to feed you" how rude isnt it! That what oldies always yell at us and it was so annoying before..but now that i reach maturity age i think of my grandparents, i always tell to myself "if only".. Yes i have regrets because i want to eat the dishes they cook before but now they are incapable of doing so.. My grandma is expert on preparing sweets that i regret i never know..secrets of the family which they cannot pass to our generation because i did not accept even my siblings dont know how. But before i go on further i will tell you that i love to cook spaghetti which my kid loves to eat. And also dishes my hubby loves to eat..like chicken stew, chicken adobo, and many likes..

Learn! Well, I want to learn cooking too. I dunno if what I do is really cooking? But all I could do is fry cook. Eggs, sausages, burgers, bacon.. Haven't tried fish though.
That's it. But, I always wanted to cook recipes. Those kinds you see at restaurants. Soup, or.. whatever more there is. I just don't know where to start. :|

I love to cook! I've been doing it since I was tall enough to peer over the stove and flip pancakes. It's really not difficult at all, as long as you keep balance in mind. Smell and taste EVERYTHING before mixing them together. If it doesn't smell right, then it probably won't taste right either. One thing I learned the hard way - it's often better to salt at table, rather than while cooking, lol. Especially eggs....

Maybe you can use you tube they have a lot of recipies there. I learned to cook just by going in there and seeing what I could come up with and mostly from my mother. I have been learning new things from the you tube though.

I love cooking! But only when it's for other people, for myself it just causes an unnecessary mess. Learning to cook is fun, but it can end up in a lot of messes and burnt pans if you're not careful. It helps add some variety to what I eat instead of just sticking with the same old things to eat all the time.
