Have you encountered one?

When we joined Mylot, it was because we wanted to earn. Then as we participated with the discussions, we found friends and we had fun... we still do. But on the process, have you encountered one or two who just go about contradicting your opinions, wanting to argue, and looking for ways to piss you off? Whenever I do, I try my best not to give in but instead keep my cool.
What would you do if you have encountered such persons here in Mylot? Of course, not all members are friendly, you know what I mean :) but I know no matter what people's characters or attitudes are, there is still kindness inside them.

Yes, i have encountered two of them here at Mylot. They insulted me. At first, i let it pass. But it seems that i want to let it off my chest, so i decided to let them know.
I told them i was insulted by what they said. And they never commented back. Later i had to report it to Admin and they had that particular response deleted.
From then on, i avoided them like a plague here at Mylot. I don't join discussions they respond to.

Yup, better avoid discussions they're in. Sometimes people are so inconsiderate they don't seem to care if they are hurting or insulting someone with their choice of words. It's good you have approached the Admin, and I'll remember to do that if ever someone 'hits me below the belt' :)

I have encountered one user someone like you are describing and honestly I spammed his answer and presto it got deleted from the thread. But, I haven't replied to his assertions, I just answered it professionally.

I did not have any bad experience in Facebook, and also here in mylot. But I had more fun here because the people I interact with are people I don't know personally and it's fun meeting them, and you, too. Thanks, lila :)

I had encountered a couple but I just let them have their say. I mean, they're entitled to their opinions. However, I distinctly remembered one person who commented not on the topic I posted, but on the response I made to the post. And he or she wouldn't budge. My mistake was to entertain the person's comments further. I should have just stopped responding back to that person's argumentative stance. Oh, well, I've learned my lesson. I sometimes wonder if that was the reason why my ranking slid a notch.

Yeah, usually it's the response made that somebody argues with. I try to avoid entertaining such annoying argumentative person who doesn't seem to know how to respect others, but sometimes I'm tempted to. :D
Anyway, we learn something from experiences. Let's just keep our cool and be happy mylotting :)

Yes I have encountered about four or five maybe. Sometimes I try to react when I lose my cool. But then after tapping the Post button, I realized I shouldn't have go down that level. Anyway, we are here not only to earn but make a discussion... anyone can jump in and share their own opinions. People have different views on things and it's normal to starts an argument. I just hope it would not be too offensive.
I guess we just have to learn not take it too personal.

Yup, you are right. Sometimes there's something we learn from the arguments we had with someone. In an argument, one should have a cooler head or else things will go ugly. Thanks, mylene. Stay cool :)

Not yet, because I'm a newbie here in Mylot, so that I haven't encountered anybody here :)
And moreover, I'm here to make friends. Arguing is OK as long as it isn't blaming.

You might encounter one along the way. Don't take it personally if ever someone wants to argue with you and say that your opinions are wrong. Yes, we meet friends here, but there will also be people you won't appreciate. Thankfully, most you meet here are friendly people :)
