The house that Obama built fell into a pile in the game of 52 card pickup it was intended to be. I guess Prs. Obama and the "leadership" of both houses of Congress didn't read the memo. The president has no authority create any panels in the Legislative branch. It's something the so-called "Constitutional Professor" Obama would know, if he actually gave a crap about the US Constitution. But I won't fault Obama completely here. Tweedly dum and Tweedly Dummer (better known as Speaker of the House John Boehner and Sen. Majority Leader Harry Reid) are the ones who were supposed to tell Prs. Obama where he could stick his unethical order... but they didn't. Instead, they played along, which means they are just as anti Constitution as the president. So today they are announcing failure. Both "leaders" blaming the other party, as if the party had anything to do with their incompetence and total lack of ethics. Anyone who blames either party for this is only showing their ignorance. The fact is, this "panel" was set up to fail. It was nothing more than a way for Obama to (once again) shirk his responsibilities, and give Reid and Boehner opportunity to do the same. There isn't a single voter who can claim any sort of integrity if they vote for a single member of this "panel". If you plan on voting for any of these "people" please leave your US Citizenship where ever you left your brain because you are wasting both. John Boehner, Ohio Harry Reid, Nevada Patty Murray, Washingtonr Max Baucus, Montana John Kerry, Massachusetts Jon Kyl, Arizona Rob Portman, Ohio Pat Toomey, Pennsylvania Xavier Becerra, California Jim Clyburn, South Carolina Chris Van Hollen, Maryland Jeb Hensarling, Texas Fred Upton, Michigan Dave Camp, Michigan These "people" are nothing but filth.

Well I know what I am doing in 2012. It is time to vote the Republicans and Democrats out. I think its time to give these two parties unemployment with no benefits as they don't deserve a shred of them. They collectively have created this mess can we really expect these children to actually fix the mess they created? These clowns are collectively smart but stupid for the entire of the nation. In 2012 everyone should vote for a third party candidate to get these two parties out of our system or at least to where we don't have the collective stupidity that these parties are. I am voting third party 2012 and might vote for the Republican if its Ron Paul or Gary Johnson.

The only problem with that is everyone sounds good until they get bought by some lobbyist or corporation. Actions speak louder than words. The problem is these guys know exactly what to say and they have it down to a science. They just never do what they say.

Well Crossbones27 I look at what they have done. That is why more than likely I will be voting for Ron Paul in 2012 because he has been consistent for the 12 years he has been in Congress. I look at their Actions and well many of them are flip floppers and don't really have a plan. If Ron Paul doesn't get the nomination I will more than likely vote for a Libertarian Party person simply because I know the Libertarian platform both the Left,Center and Right forms of it and would love to see a Libertarian Party take the presidency. As to VICEcaholic we are getting closer to seeing either the country fall or see the rise of more third parties into Congress and the Federal Government.

Well, it could have been worse. At least the Republicans did not give into the big tax increases that the dems wanted.

Why give in when the fix was in from the beginning?

Can some one explain to me what they have exactly fixed? They haven't fixed the economy. The nation debt is still going up. Prices are still going up. People's wages are still stagnant or going backwards. Yet we are worried about about taxes on the one percent so they can have more money to build companies overseas and hire slave laborers, so they can avoid paying more taxes. Some how the rest of the people think they are going to be rich some day. So they want these things to stay the same, so they can do the same thing when they get rich. Sorry, my fellow Americans if you haven't noticed, ITS NOT WORKING! Quit dreaming, and wake up. The American dream has come and gone and if you want to get it back you have to face reality.

They fixed nothing, but they were set up to do exactly what they accomplished.

Ted my dear, when since January 20, 2009, has the Constitution meant anything other than an antiquated piece of literature. Welcome to the NEW America. The signature in my email says it best ~My friends, we live in the greatest nation in the history of the world. I hope you'll join with me as we try to change it. Barack Obama~ Yes the super committee was/is unconstitutional. Yes these guys have gotten "too big for their britches" No it won't stop until more "lazy Americans" realize that with liberty and freedom come responsibility.

Im with you on this. Unfortunately, generation by generation, we are getting out numbered. Our society is becoming too lax, too willing to depend on government.

It may be the "new" America to the left, but I (for one) refuse to let them be right.

This Ohioan voted against both Boehner and Portman--they had already served at least one term and I believe you should serve one term and GO HOME!!! Plus, with the exposure of insider trading that is rife in both houses I think they should ALL be put in JAIL!! Those that don't actually trade with inside info are just as guilty because they won't stop those that do. Well, I'm getting off track here...I have respect for very few members of Congress. They have an 80% disapproval rate and I think that would be higher if the samples were bigger. I find myself wondering if we can survive another 12 months. Our government should be afraid of the people, not the reverse. The Occutards are just the beginning--I think the people will soon be so outraged by actions like this failure that it will get violent. And Congress will have no one to blame but their own greedy selves.

I do not even know why we ever vote. The only thing it seems to do is push one side further into its party lines. Then these guys can't govern because they have to stick with their base because if then don't they won't get reelected. Seriously what the hell are we paying these people for. I think the up and coming Presidential election should be called, "I will screw up the country less that they will."
