Hi friends, How are you? At this moment, I should be studing for my career, but I got bored a few minutes later I started. I just wonder what would be the best way to study for whatever you want to do it. would it be better if we study in your own or if we study with someone else? did you remember your technics you employed at the study´s time? have a nice day

You must find a way that is fitting for you when it comes to study. It all depends on your determination and the will to succeed. Should you find studying alone better then go for it. If you find it more effective to be with a group, then try it out. In my case, I always devote a specific time for study and I make a study plan. This includes the minutes or hours I devote to a subject usually giving more time for those that I find difficult. I also study the difficult subjects first so when I am done with the difficult ones and I am already tired, I still go on knowing what is left are the easier ones.

What I could say now is that I need to study first alone in order to get knowledge and then expose what I learn using excersises or old tests. The last time was hard for me studing alone, not because I was supposed to study with people at the same level, it is because I cannot find the concentration to do it.

Based on my experience, I prefer to study alone. That way, I can concentrate on my studies. I like doing it inside my bedroom. Its quiet and no disturbances. I can stay focused. Have a nice day! Happy mylotting!

For any of the courses that I did not struggle in, I found that the best way for me to study was alone because that way I was able to concentrate on really learning and memorizing those things that I needed to learn and memorize. However, for those courses where I struggled a little bit, it was important for me to work with someone to learn the material.
As far as an overall best way to study, I don't really think that there is one way that is the best for everyone, it depends on the individual.

hi! first of all, thanks for participating. i agreed with you, depending the subject or the course we are, we have different ways of studing. the last 6 months, i used to study with friends, we were studing the human body( almost) and we used to memorize most of it, so it was nice to be helped by them. have a nice day

i think it's better to study on our own..for me that's how i like and do it so you can focus more and there's not too much destruction..for me, when i used to study i always it peaceful..so i can truly concentrate and the things i study will sink in more properly...

a mean, I think that depending the time and "how much" we know about a topic, we might study on our own or in groups. To be honest, there are subjects that may need to be studied in groups, or not. sometimes it would be usefull to share different points of view, or knowledge. have a nice day

You mean that you don't need any others support to study ?
which means no need of a tuition teacher ?

I generally prefer studying alone because I can concentrate better. After preparing my coursework, I used to meet with my friends and ask any questions I might have had.
Another thing that I used to do in my dissertation was to study at the library, where most of my classmates were as well. I had my computer in a quiet place where I could work alone and during my small breaks I was visiting my friends or we were going together to get some food before start studying again.
However, the fastest and more concentrated studying for me was at home, without being distracted from others and with facebook and skype closed. :)

alilin28, my suggestion is that, you should concentrate on the work, what ever be the work, studying, reading, writing, cooking... I think it is better to stay out side and enjoy the beauty of nature while studying, this will allows you to have fresh breath and thus it will refresh your mind.

Based on my experience I will say that self study is better. It is true that most of the students get bored just within a couple of minutes after opening their books. I believe that the main reasons behind this boredom is the lack of interest in studies and understanding of the subjects. My suggestion would be that you must first pick up the subjects you dislike the most and then do a rough reading of the first chapter. Then do one more reading, thinking that you have to explain that chapter to your friend. By this time you'll memorize most of its content and you'll develop interest in it.
Always jot down the main points this will make your studies easy and interesting. You can also take short breaks of 10 minutes after every 2 hours. Hope this will help you.

I think writing and study is the best method which helps you to remember all the points without missing any of them. I mostly used to pratice this method, especially chemistry which consist a a large number of equations .

Hi, I don't find these circumstantial factors to be determinative in the case of studying. I mean, having this convictions of different types of student (audio, visual etc.) is nonsense.
So Alilin, IF you write a sentence like: 'I should be studying for my career', where's is the obstacle? If you mention career, you also have the answer. Studying alone or in group doesn't make sense, neither implementing useless techniques, why use techniques when your brain is prone to better things? I only have one answer. understand what you are reading, to do this, there exist a tiny psychological steering that is "non-profit", while reading the content, concentrate. If you can feel your brain has changed modality, and obeyed to your "command", then no more things to worry about, from that point on you will feel and above all you'll ENJOY the freedom of doing what you want, concentrate or not, do your work or not. Your brain is always listening to your thoughts. Another thing that your nervous system would like, is that effective learning, collection of information happens randomly, it is your brain that will store and organize what you've learned that day.
If you follow these steps, I think you will start to enjoy what you are studying, and you'll exponentially become motivated, you will also feel the so-called FLOW feeling.
Take care.
