Okay.. so sometimes we are faced with the same challenge. people always trying to put us down and even our families and loved ones may have not spared us from doing the same thing that everybody does to us and that is to tell us straight on that we might not succeed in this and that.. that we ought to do better to do this and that or that we are not like others who are more capable...
So how many times have you done the things people say you cannot do and proved them wrong? its a great feeling right? It is very fulfilling that we have proved people wrong when they think are cannpt be successful. =)
Please share yours!

Maybe even god can't figure it out that you are succeed in this and that or not,so do what you want to do and stick to it.Time can tell the result while not others.Go ahead,Where there is a will, there is a way.

Hi Chiyosan, After the birth of my first baby and when she's about one & half year old, i decided to find some job options for me so that i can be of support to my husband's meager salary. Well, now she's 14 & i also have a son aged 10. At that time everyone including my family members and in-laws were against this decision of mine though my husband always supported me. When i started working, other problems raised as who'll take care of the baby, we finalized a creche but as usual my in-laws were not happy. I continued to work and this day I'm with a leading corporate where I have good paid profile. But now whenever i share about my problems or issues at office, all those people who once were against my working, says never leave the job, try to find out some solutions to the problems and so on.... i feel happy when they share my old stories with my children especially my mother-in-law.

yes Chiyo, i have two children and at one stage they both were more at creche than home. During those days my husband had to be on a project out of the town. But after completion, he resigned his MNC job just to join me & the kids. Now he is on his own and the kids stays at home. Above all what i am enjoying is my Mother in law has all praises for me today that makes me a popular 'daughter in law' in her circle. She is actively involved and keep herself busy with the nearby 'temple' activities.

If i sense that the person dissuading me one a particular task, is trying to discourage me because she/he knows that i will surely excel on it and would be given credit or succeed on it, then the more that i will go for the task.
But if what she/he says is a constructive criticism, i would welcome it and try to change whatever is being criticized of me.

I personally haven't had any such situation to face. But sometimes, i think it is better not to take such things to your head when people think you can't do something. That is because, whatever you do, people will anyways have a say about it and there are people who find the faults and loop holes even with the best of the best things. So if you take such things into your mind and start going behind them to prove yourself, then somewhere you will be losing your life to please others. The worst thing, the people you are considering here are never worth of any of your time!
The other thing is, you are never born to please anyone or prove anyone here! You are here to live your life to the fullest and enjoy every moment and learn something from it!
But yes, as you said, it will certainly give you happiness to prove something, but make sure you are proving it to you that you are capable of doing it and not for the others!
Never worry if people don't lend you that support that you need at that time, just take it as a lesson and thank those people for making you even more stronger and for having helped you to gain that sort of confidence which takes you to that state where you go on to prove things alone! Just live it positively!

One thing that caught me is this line: that we are not like others who are more capable
I sooo hate being judged wrongly and compared with others. I have been compared many times by an older family member to our neighbor. I could not actually believe that from all people I would hear it from that person when that person could have uplift my spirits. Well anyway that has happened way way back in the past. And I am happy to say that I am better than the neighbor this person was comparing me. At least I have proven that person wrong.
