yellow teeth are derived from many things. of intermittent brushing of food. also if you smoke, the most serious problem. I think to avoid yellow teeth should brush your teeth at least twice a day or after every meal. success. nice day

I think there are certain types of food and drinks that tarnishes or makes our teeth yellow. I know coffee is one. And not only food, but smoking can really stain your teeth. But I think it's also dependent on the tooth enamel. I mean, there are people with less enamel content in their teeth that makes their teeth yellowish in color. And I've read that over-brushing isn't good either since it sort of lessens the tooth's enamel. I think there are a lot of articles on this if you want a list of what makes teeth yellow :)

I agree with you by over or heavy brushing, especially when using hard toothbrush bristles it may abrade tooth enamel and so on, it might expose dentin which is the sensitive portion of the tooth and it is a yellow part in nature.

There are factors that make a teeth yellow. Genes is one of the factors. If your parents have it, then we are most likely going to have the same color of those. Foods, like coffee and tea stain the teeth. Improper hygiene also is a contributing factor. Aging too is another factor because as a person grows old, the enamel of the tooth wears down exposing the yellow color of the dentin which is the underlying layer of the tooth. But with today's advance in science, the discoloration can be treated with bleaching. Dentists have it now in their clinics, so yellow teeth is not much of a problem.

I have heard that caffeine found in coffee causes yellow teeth. Too much consumption of sugary products can also. Also, smoking can cause yellow teeth.

It can be one of the causes. Drinks like coffee, tea, coke and other of that kind can make your teeth yellower. Smoking is the worst when it comes to yellow teeth so people should really avoid doing it if want white teeth. Happy mylotting!
