Do you think Chihuahua is a good pet? My officemate's Chihuahua gave birth through Caesarian operation just this morning. She sent me a message and asked me if I'm still interested to buy one puppy. When I saw the picture of the two puppies, I got excited.

Achihuahua is good for you if you:
•Is small and easy to carry
•Comes in a variety of sizes, coats, and colors
•Is comical and entertaining in eccentric ways (hard to describe -- you gotta be there!)
•Takes himself seriously (which makes his antics even funnier!)
•Makes a great watchdog
•Doesn't need much exercise
•LOVES warmth
•Lives a long time
Then a Chihuahua may be right for you.
If you don't want to deal with this don't get a chihuahua.
•The fragility of toy breeds (see below)
•The fine line you need to walk with toy breeds, where you need to protect their safety, yet require them to stand on their own four feet and be well-behaved
•Notorious housebreaking difficulties
•Suspiciousness, shrillness, and highstrung temperaments in some lines, or when babied or spoiled or not socialized enough or made to behave.

My inlaws live with us right now and they have chihuahuas. They are small and based on my experence some think they are big tough dogs and others can be timid. They are extreamly difficult to potty train and can be snappy around small children. If you do not get the females spayed they often need c-sections because of birthing difficulties.
On the good side, my niece's dog is very protective of her and while it looks ridiculous for such a small dog to act so fierce that dog is as loyal as they come.
