I have been hearing the word "kilig" a lot of times especially when people watch romantic movies or "teleseryes." I want to ask what does it really mean? Or what is the english counterpart of it?
Am I right to say that "kilig" is a sweet mushy butterflies in the stomach feeling?
I know girls can feel this so called "kilig" feeling. I know I do too especially when reading novels and watching movies. But do guys feel "kilig" too? How?
Please share your thoughts about that feeling of being "kilig" or an experience where in you got "kilig?" Thank you. GOD BLESS and Happy Mylotting. ^_^

Yes, i was really "kilig" with them, until the other night and last night's episode.
I hate Amber for being so scheming. I am also disappointed with Jade for not being suspicious at all, why Amber always have something to say about Andy. Didn't she notice that Amber has been stalking on Andy.
Oh, what the heck, that's how some stories are, so mababaw. But i like how AiAi and Cherry Pie insult each other!

You have a cute English counterpart of "Kilig." It seems that our body gets tickled when we feel kilig.
You're so lucky to have a sweet husband. They're rare now a days. I wonder if I'll meet a guy like that. I want to be kilig after all. Hahahah!! Lolz. You're a fan of Binondo Girl? Too bad jade and Andy are not in good terms right now. Tskkk... -_-

Woah! I guess my reply is really late considering that Amber has long been gone in My Binondo Girl. I used to watch it but now, I feel that it's too "happy ever after-ish." Too much for my taste and I was too busy with some stuff...
I still find Xian Lim and Kim Chiu a cute couple though. I also like Papa Chen. he's cute and has the looks. ^_^

This word really is used whenever we feel something that depicts love. We may experience it through our loved ones wherein we feel there sincerity and honesty or they are just being so sweet. Whenever we watch romantic movies and there are scenes that ignites that kind of feeling like for example when both actors' eyes met. Isn't that very 'kilig'. I believe boys feel that too. I don't think boys are kill joy enough and insensitive not to feel that.

Kilig is usually associated with romantic gestured and how your body reacts to it. It's such a crazy feeling but I have to say that I like it. But I only got kilig from watching movies or reading novels. :(
I have asked some of my guy friends about getting kilig and etc and most of them say that they feel it. Only one said that he didn't. I haven't seen a guy get kilig. I'm curious on how they would get kilig and I want to see one get kilig. Hahahahah! I think it's sweet and cute. _

i think you got the closest translation of the word. kilig is a condition in which one "melts" by his/her own doing. a chemical reaction happens inside the person that weakens the bones and sucks the energies for a sweeping time. i am a man, and i have felt this kilig thing. it is exhilarating. the ethereal feeling is indescribable, but real. i like it so much, and now im missing those times.

Thank you but I still can't comprehend that kilig feeling but I know I like it. Hahahah! I like your explanation better than mine. I sounds cute from a man's point of view.
So guys get kilig too? Wow! but why don't guys show it like girls do. I want to see how guys get kilig. Hahahahh! Why do you miss it? Don't you feel kilig anymore mensab?

hi bewitchingmelody this is the feeling of butterflies in my tummy and sweating palms when I met this man with the black hair and dark brown eyes that were laughing at me. I fumbled with my name and
he laughed as he told me his.We were to work together ,he as an orderly me as a nurses aide.I knew right then that this was the man I was to marry. Later he told me he had felt the same way.He and I married six weeks later. We both felt as if we had known each other
forever it was so easy to talk to each other , so comfortable like an old old friends. we were best friends and lover. He always told people I was his best friend. Some people would say but she is your wife don't you love her and he would answer""Of course I love her but I also like her as she is my best friend"

hello my friend. kilig is different for us guys as compared to girls but there is still a strong similarity between how we are feeling it. kilig for me is when you have your genuine smile when you are alone hiding after you saw your crush.i could also liken it to a feeling of cloud 9 after having a special moment with the one you extremely admire.

Hello there buddy!
Probably its different on how guys show that they are in kilig mode.
I wonder why they hide it? Is it macho hombre pride or what?
I find it cute in movies but I wonder if it's true in real life.
Lol. You remind me of a movie, "Crazy Little Thing Called Love."
It was a nice movie and has kilig cute moments. ^_^

Kilig is how our mind reacts to any romantic gesture that translates to how our body feels towards it. It may be the butterflies in the stomach or the romantic goosebumps, the breaking out of huge drops of sweat when we see our crushes, the blushing, uncontrollable giggling, the wide grins, the way our heart beats faster at the rate of 200 beats per minute, and the list goes on. I easily feel this kilig factor just by reading romance novels or watching love stories but of course the biggest kilig I could get is every time my guy says "I love you" to me, or even just the simple acts that he usually does, the short poems he writes for me, and even the fact that he enjoys his time talking to me, I feel kilig on those simple events.
Happy MyLotting too!

You seem to be really in a "kilig" mode.
I love the way you composed your thoughts about "kilig."
It makes me want to be in "kilig" mode too. Hahahah!!
Are you a writer by any chance?
