Does your sims character reflect the real you?

I am by far not the gaming type and honestly Sims 2 is about the only thing I do play. So when I play I use it to escape the pressures of my real life, this means my sim is a representation of my lighter more fun side and is single with no children. I have a hubby and kids in the real world and see no point in worrying about taking care of simulated ones as well. My sister on the other hand has more sim kids and sim responsibilities than in her real life and is constantly trippin out over how well they are doing. When you play does your sim live a life similar to your real one or more of a fantasy/alternate reality?

not at all, My sims neighborhood is more of a personification of characters from the novels I created, I dont really focus in 1family, in 2 hours of my gameplay, I control the lives of 8 different families at the same time., My families are from different etnicities and even religion, just like the United states, I dont have any sim based from my real family. I download the celebrity sims though cos of their genetics,

Holy cow!!! I got a headache just thinking of trying to keep up with all of that. You are a true master of multitasking my friend and I must say I'm more than a little bit jealous of your skill in that department. Thank you for sharing.

when I was playing sims I felt like I was God and I am breeding and farming humans. LOL. I always download the celeb sims but I dont play them as their secelb selves. I alter them to my liking. (I just prefer them over default sim cos they look realistic) I mix their genetics. I also try using the plastic surgery machine to all townies, to get rid of all the ugly townies and have good looking people. LOL I have a family with ugly members though, I just hate having ugly townies,

No, my sims don't reflect me. In fact, they are the complete opposite. I'm faithful towards my boyfriend, but in sims2 my characters have so many lovers and party a lot. Maybe it's my subconscious acting out in the game. doing things i could never do, i do in sims. it's fun for me, though i can sense it's a little disgusting that i do those things to my sims. -sigh-

My sims are almost always set with a PLEASURE orientation because I like them to not be focused on jobs or education (that's my real life) but this often leads to goals that call for multiple lovers as well and in my life I am also very loyal to my wonderful hubby. This is not always a reflection of our subconscious as much as it is the games programing so you shouldn't read too much into your sim activity. Thank you for the reply and happy gaming.

It is fun to play like this everyone once in a while! Yeah, I do like to occasionally create Sims that reflect me. I am still young, so I haven't finished school and started a real career. I like the fact that I can have a career and start a family in the Sims, though in real life I don't think I will ever have kids. I really enjoy the career aspect.
