There are a lot of cultural stereotypes, things people think or believe about other cultures that are not always true. Can you think of any of these that are said about your culture that you would like to clear up. Share a few good things about your cultural heritage and what makes it special.

I'm a proud person from Kentucky and we are typically stereotyped as being backward and stupid. However, this is not the case at all. Yes, people from Kentucky might not have as much as people from other parts of the country, but what we do have is a love and respect of people that you definitely don't see in other parts of this country. We will treat anyone that we meet with respect and that is something that I think is really lacking in the world today.

yes, stereotypes are not good for developing a culture i think. in my place there are many cultural heritage. many traditional dance, many traditional foods, and many trditional handycrafts. Indonesia really rich about cultural heritage. Every region have different culture, and sometime it cause some stereotypes. the most special cultural heritage in my places is called as "Tenun Troso" "tenun" means cloth that spun by traditional tool. "Troso" is name one of village in my country. It is really special because the moyive really unique and cant find in other place.

Hello, I am a Southerner. We are stereotyped as being stupid. Southerners are gracious, kind, warm and hospitable. We believe the best in people. I am proud to be a Southerner.
