Well my baby is 19 months old and his temper has gone through the roof. He used to be such a quiet and gentle little boy but lately he's been slappin and screaming when he doesn't get his way. I dunno if it's a third child thing or what. My other 2 never had this kind of temper so young. I am sure he's learning some of it from them now and I have no clue how to get them all to quit. I hate yelling and hitting. I don't sPank my kids but the yelling has gotten excessive. I know other parents go through this too so please give me some pointers. How do you deal with your kids hitting eachother? And how would you deal with a 19 month olds temper? I don't think time out would work for him yet.

I still think the time out thing with no toys for a few mins would work....i know every child is different but there is no harm in trying.

Yea I don't know if it would work for a 19 month old. I really don't think he understands that stuff yet. With the 2 older ones I started time outs at about 3.

Yelling at the child's face will not help anything , but will it worse .. It is in such a young
age needs to be redirected and affection to him , and not punish him he is still young .. Also, the child usually learns from most of it .. Try as much as possible you will make most of it his brethren, he set a good example

Could you start the "naughty step" treatment?
