Breaking up in Facebook

Hi fellow mylotters! I have been noticing that most lovers are breaking up using facebook. It has to do with their relationship status wherein they say they're now single from being in a relationship and everybody would know it immediately as compared to before where the news don't spread that quickly. If you were to choose do you want this kind of announcing for your break up?

Why in the world these morons want to break up in Facebook? May be they want to let the whole world to know about the breaking up by announcing it in Facebook, it need time for me to figure out certain type of behavior morons either inherited or learned. It is quite an ingenious way to attract attention for themselves.

I guess the breaking up issues are already normal to our lives but the thing is that most people around the world have Facebook accounts and their significant others do have to. And Facebook has been catering this relationship status to everyone so preferably, to announce to the Facebook arena that they are couples, they tag each other, or maybe just the prerequisite of the relationship itself, or another thing could be that to discretely tell all the other fellows that he or she is taken and that nobody is allowed to steal him or her. So basically, when the love affair has drifted down, and as problems come along the way, they broke up and of course which couple would still tag themselves as one on Facebook when they no longer are? That is why they untag themselves, they break up in Facebook, and we see that, so we notice that. Nothing fancy. Just breaking up, but only we notice because it's posted publicly. Have a great day!

Maybe they just want to announce to the world that they are back on the market.

Yeah! I noticed that too! in fact y friends expressed their bad feelings towards their boyfriends on their walls. I guess they only wanted to share the feeling to their other friends. It is easier to catch up with your crowd in FB. They may or may not read the messages but they could eventually have an idea what is really happening. I don't find it a big deal unless it would be offensive to other innocent people around the site.

I was in a relationship before and I don't post may relationship status, because I don't want to get notice when there's something wrong in my relationship, unless if you are already married. I don't think announcing your break up is a healthy thing, since it will turned out that you are looking for a sympathy in a public, FB is public. Unless you only have some really few friends in there...

I'd rather not make my relationship public at first. I don't like to give people the opportunity to comment my own private life nor I'd want some random people from my friend list to know about very change in my relations with others.

With or without facebook...break up with relationship due to cheating is already rampant. I do not see any reason blaming facebook for these break-ups. Well,it only happens that some people are posting their status as single... however..they can also say that to every girl or boy in person.

it's ok with me that my announcement would be on facebook. I don't have to reply to other's who would ask why an announcement is ok and nothing more
