"Pregnant women should be taken great care of because they represent three generations" that's what my Biology professor told us the other day. And I think he is right in saying that. I am just sad at the fact that in several times pregnant women aren't taken special care of. For instance in light trains/buses people don't automatically stand up and give their seats anymore. I hope that this trend will soon change for the better. :(

You should ask your professor why not ALL women are precious and should be handled that way. Since they are the only ones who can give birth.
And those who are not pregnant (yet) can be it in future.
Personally I find it nonsense to say that people need to automatically stand up if someone is pregnant. Pregnant is not ill although there are women who can be seriously ill from it as well already from the very 1st start.
And if I have to choose I prefer to stay in the bus and not lifting 10 hours a day heavy bags and graveyard stones as a job or working 8 hours a day + taking care of husband and other kids.
Which is what most pregnant women, all over the world do. Only if men all over the world will start working very hard (income + housekeeping + shopping + taking care of the children) women can sit down in the bus and at home during their pregnancies. Or do you think no woman will be pregnant anymore from that moment on?
