I like good movies whatever the style or format, but each style gives a unique feel to a movie. I liked both The Corpse Bride and Nightmare before Christmas the fact that they are both have Tim Burton films helps as I am a fan of his work. I have not see Coraline yet but have been meaning to, one of the studios that produces a lot of stop motion movies and shows is Aardman animation they are the producers of Wallace and Gromit and Chicken run, there are very few full length feature films in stop motion most are shorts just because of the time they take to make. They are a great combination of animation and having actual density to the images.

Count me in the club. This is the very reason why I always look for Tim Burton films because most of his latest work were made via stop-motion techniques.
Now, I like these films because there is always a classic flavor to them. Devoid of any digital effects (or, at least made with as little digitalization) it just makes it seem that these movies are harder to do than the the 'average movie' (of course, it's just my perception). It requires a certain skill to pose and position these figures for countless of hours just to get a few minutes worth of footage, not to mention the actual crafting of the figures.
