We have four dogs and we cant' afford to feed them.

Oh, I'm so sad to hear that! Cant you find anything to work to help your family? Not to mention the poor dogs that will be faithful to you and your family until the last day of their life! Maybe you can go to a restaurant and ask for some left overs to feed your dogs. They should not ask you to pay for it. Is there anything like animal shelter around? Maybe your dogs would be well fed (or, at least, fed) into a place like that.

Well I know it is hard to give away pets you've been so attached with. But dear you have to be practical. Will you allow those dogs to die of starvation? You better just give them away to people who could feed them so that they'd keep living. Otherwise, they might just die of hunger if indeed you situation is just that hard.

It is a hard choice for you. But it is really hard to keep four dogs without any income. I think you should let them go. First, if the situation doesn't improve,and you can provide enough food for your dogs, they will get sick. And four dogs is a big burden to your family now. It is a bad thing to have them all around but can't get enough nutrition. You can choose to let them live in one of your friends' or relatives who have the ability to raising them. And take them back after the situation improves later.

I'm really sorry to hear that. And I know how it's hard to let a pet go especially when its very, very close to you. But you have to make a very hard decision. Would you rather give the dogs away to someone who can feed them or watch them starve and get sick and might even die? I'd rather they be taken cared of by someone else than let them starve.

Sell your dogs so you can earn. What kind of dogs do u have?

If you are not able to feed the dog I think it is better to sell your dogs to have some money. By doing this you have some money and you will make your dog alive. I think this is the best idea. What do you think guys ?

My dogs have become part of my family. I have five dogs and one is expecting. I know keeping dogs is not cheap and I have to allocate a monthly budget for my dogs foods and vitamins. I feel sad for your dogs when they are forced to be given away as they are close to your family. Maybe you can find a good homes for them.

I hate to say this but if you can't afford the dogs you really need to give them up! Look for a no kill shelter. See if friends can take them in. Look for a dog rescue. You have to do something! Your family is hurting and the dogs are paying for this,also! Your dogs will not die from depression! I really doubt it! Dogs are smart animals. They won't forget you but they will be fine! Just like you will be! Sure it will be hard but it will be the best for all of you!

I'm so sorry you have to go through this. Try giving any one you are less attached to for adoption to a relative so the dog is with you, and you still don't have to feed it.

I don't think you have much choice, you will have to let go of those dogs, relatives will be good people to give them to, you can still visit your dogs sometimes.

I don't think the dogs will die due to depression when you give them away to people who can afford to feed and take care of them. They are more likely to die with hunger and dehydration when your family won't be giving them anything to eat and drink. Dogs are just like humans and they too can adapt with their new owners. As hard as it is to decide that you're handling the obligation to another family, think of what's best for the dogs and not just for ourselves. You both will benefit from that solution since you will be more focused on providing for the needs of your family than thinking about the welfare of the dogs too, which can only add to your problems.
