I got a chance to talk to my cousin this morning.. She told me she is getting addicted with facebook and she hates it but can't help it..Everytime she sees her lappy all she could think about is to tap her fingers and work her way to facebook.. I told her its alright to give yourself a break just don't forget that she also have responsibilities and chores to do everyday. One of these is taking care of her children. And that is her problem, she sometimes taken her kids for granted just to have time for facebook. I got mad at her learning that she wants more time with her lappy than with her kids.Grrrr... Should i crash the lappy or my cousin? Was there a time you were like my cousin??What did you do to avoid such situation?

i wonder what makes your cousin stays in facebook for long hours. Chatting in facebook...and whom she is chatting...friends? I am not a facebook addict and I have kids to look after too. i spend my time here in mylot and know my limitation and other obligations. I also have other writing/earning sites, but never taken my kids for granted. Ok...maybe your cousin needs a good lesson before she stops such habit.

Hi tamirs Dont have a lappy yet But that doesnt stop me from being glued to my Desktop. I am alone in the house all the time. We do not have a Television just because we(me and my wife) think that is nearly a waste of time and quite useless(unless you have Discovery or History). I always am on the PC doing either some assignments that I have or listening to songs or even reading and hey MyLotting too. But I know my other responsibilities and have been away from the Computer when needed. And yes, the FB is quite addictive as I read many people care more about this than their personal life. However, I have set aside only 30 minutes per day at most for this FB thing... doesnt interest me that much. I did find a few of my long time lost school mates and college mates and i asked them for their mobile numbers. Happy to be connected via phones than on that site :)

actually sid ,i don't also have a TV in my room, :-D i don't like watching TV,it bores me,i don't know why.Besides, you can use you Desktop to watch movies and TV series ,right? My daughter do that most of the time.. You are right,FB is addictive, that is why,my cousin cant take her eyes away from it and i hate her for that.If she isn't neglecting her kids that will be fine for me.But that is not what is happening now..Hmmmp :-(

I can't say that I ever got as bad as your cousin. Infact I have been getting bored with facebook and the games. One has to make times for the children, cooking, cleaning, etc. Then there is always time for ones self and the computer.

i think a lot of people are like your cousin nowadays..they are so addicted to computer, laptop and to be on facebook...sometimes, they are so lazy to do chores or any other things but first thing they do upon waking up and almost everyday and all the time is to be on the internet and on facebook..i think you should hide her laptop..see what happens if there is no laptop around so she can focus first on chores and her kids..sometimes i can be like that too..spending a lot of time on the internet and facebook and sometimes neglecting the chores and my kid a bit..but i try my best to be online not just for facebook but more importantly to be able to gain ways of making extra income and money as i am a stay at home mom...i don't have my own laptop but i just share laptop with others in the house so when i can have the laptop to myself..i do everything and focus on my time in the laptop and internet..i can avoid this kind of situation for myself if i have my own laptop or computer because i can control my time with it..there is no need for me to chase my time with using the laptop or internet..sometimes even if i still need to do some chores ,..i sit on the computer or be on the laptop first and immediately if i can see no one using it or else others in the house might be able to use it first..but in the case of your cousin,..only she can change and control her ways..but i think to be able to stop it for herself for awhile..what if there is no laptop around or somebody hide her laptop and see what happens?

Woah! Calm down tamirs. Getting too upset won't do you any good. I was addicted to facebook before but I always make sure that I do my responsibilities first before opening facebook. Sometimes, I even sacrifice my facebooking hours if there is really a need to do so. Why don't you introduce Mylot to your cousin. It's better that she spends her time here and earn money for her kids than being stuck up in facebook earning nothing. ^_^

My dear, as much as i want to,i don't want her to.Facebook does that to her,so does mylotting will. Why?i am an addict with mylot myself. :-) It will be more harder for her to spend more time with the kids.Ill introduce mylot to her if and only when she knows how to manage her time..

You should crash first the laptop, then her face. She must grow up and let her see that see has a family to take care of. It's ok to get hooked up to facebook, but just not to the extent that you would stop caring and rather do you stuff infront of the laptop/computer. a piece of advice to your cousin, "You are to control facebook and Don't let facebook control you"
