From the beginning of the world we can't see one mother in-law accept their daughter in- law and vice verse. I always wondered thinking about this, my mother in-law, she will not admit whatever i have done to her, she always compared with their daughters and say my daughter will do this work faster than you and perfectly. At the same time I am the daughter in-law whatever praising she told to me i was always thinking about my mother that she is greater than my mother in-law. why this happens? Are you agree with this?.

I think there is a little bit of jealousy that plays into a mother in law that is judgmental of her son's choice in a bride. Mothers and sons often have very close relationships and there are some mothers that are very territorial when it comes to their grown sons. I could see some animosity if the daughter in law was mean to the son or something like that but if there is no reason, I think the mom should be nice. As far as the daughter in laws..well...no one can compare to the mother figures in their lives if there is a good relationship. If mother in law is being nasty then it is normal to reflect on the kindness their real mother has shown them.
Take care and I hope the relationship between you and your mother in law improves.

That is why I wouldn't like to stay with my mother in law in the same house. I don't like people who compares others. It is impossibe that you will be like her daughter. I would really be pissed off if Iam the one.

i believe it is all about jealousy.mothers in law are jealous on the relation between the daughters and fathers.i know real mothers, not in law, which are jealous because the dad gives to much attention to the daughter and the moms feel neglected.i think you have to be a bit crazy to be jealous on the kids.
