I guess some of the reasons that I hesitate now on going Deep Sea fishing is that the limit of fish (red snapper) that you can bring back is only 2 (it think)! You pay about $100 to go out on a boat to the red snapper banks, most of the day, and for what, ONLY 2 red snapper?

Paying $100 to get a boat ride to the red snapper banks offshore, but only allow to bring back two of them, what sort of mess up state will come out with such a silly fishing rule, you gotta be kidding!! I read a news story this man caught a 800+ lbs tuna in New England water on boat with a net, but on his way back to the port, his catch was confiscated by federal agents from oceanic agency for violating the rule of using net to catch tuna at the bottom of the ocean, he is only allow to use fishing rod and line to fish for tuna, not fishing net. It is just funny this dude paid $50 for the tuna fishing permit every time he gone out to the ocean seeking for tuna, but end up empty handed on his 800 lbs catch this time, instead benefit the federal agency with his catch. The market price for the tuna is believe worth several thousand dollar, the reward just gone down the drain for him. It is totally crazy!!

I also read about the 881 lb tuna that got consfiscated because it was caught with a net and should only be caught using a rod and line. I also consider this to be totally ludicrus.
By the way the daily bag limit on red snapper is 4 not 2 like I mentioned. Still, paying a lot of money for only 4 red snapper is way too much money, I think.
Thanks
