I know most of us here have different religions. Some don't even have religion. Some are practicing their religion, some are not. For example, a person can be a Catholic but he doesn't act like a Catholic and don't even go to the church.
So, anyway my simple question is do you still pray? How often do you pray? Do you pray everyday or you just pray when you need something? what if you are facing a problem, do you still pray for guidance?
I don't want to raise a debate here, this is just a simple question and all responses should be respected. Thank you.

Hi red!
I don't always go to church (I'm a Catholic), I haven't even gone to church for years! But I still pray wherever I am, whenever I feel like it. But it's not your regular prayers like Our Father or something. It's just my own prayers, I say thanks and I ask for help and I say sorry.

I still do. :)
I both talk to God and pray "seriously."
I know it's opened a lot of doors and moved a lot of "mountains" in my life. :)

It's also amazing to know that Someone Up There loves us, more than we'll ever understand.
More than comforting, it's more amazing when He makes you understand that He is real.

No, i don't pray.. haha I don't belong to any religion and i only pray that none of those faithful followers would approach me to join their groups.. lol Maybe i shouldn't use the word "pray' but rather "hope".. haha I prefer being my free thinker, with no restrictions, no rules to follow. That's what life is about. Life is too short to follow the dos and don'ts.

When I feel that I am about to be in trouble I pray. I know it shouldn't be that way, I mean, let's face it most people pray only when they need something. I think that god is not a machine that you can use to get anything you want to. You should always be thankful and pray for the well being of others.

I pray all the time, both in difficult circumstances, distressed or in happy circumstances, when it is healthy or even sick. I personally think that prayer is a necessity, and it proves that I am only an ordinary human being who needs help of God Almighty, and I am not ashamed to admit it.

Hi red, Yes, I still pray but not in the way that I once did when I thought of God as an old man in the heavens, who answered your prayer if you begged him enough. Today I feel that we are spiritual beings and that we are all one with each other and with God. Now I pray affirmatively know that we create our future by our thoughts and actions today. Blessings.

Yes, I pray every day before and after I go to sleep even if it is a short prayer -- that would be enough with me. I also pray before and after breakfast, lunch and dinner. I just said "thank you for the food" while my family members still pray the long prayer "the daily bread prayer" -- well, I always pray, but just a short prayer like "thank you" and I do not want to ask anything from him. I do not know why maybe I realized that here on earth, we lived here temporarily so why ask him anything here on earth if we're just going to die.
That is all.

Actions speaks louder than words...
do good deeds to everyone rather than pray to do good things but never do what was being promised to pray....
and if the religions people want to pray to the Lord thy God,
it must be a conversation with God that comes from the heart and not like those repetitions of prayers for 15 times of repetition times(x) 5 mysteries and repeat it for a 7 days a week...
if done by repetitiousness for a 10 thousands of times i am sure God will upset instead of listening to our prayers...
even here in all types of forums,
if the reply comment is kept on copy and paste for several times i am sure its a plagiarism anymore...
so to make it short and serious,
we should pray to God that comes from the heart and not a repetitive type of prayers.

I do pray twice a day, upon waking up and before retiring to bed.
This has become part of my daily activities that I feel incomplete if I can't do this. I find it very important because it guides me on what to do and to say the things that is appropriate at a particular moment of the day especially that I talk to different people in different levels. Sometimes, there are people who cannot accept what I will tell them to do because they think that they already know what they are doing when in fact there are lots of mistakes.
When I pray in the morning, I offer to the Lord all the things that will happen for the day and thank for what has been before going to bed.
In facing difficult moments, I gladly accept and ace it with open heart and with a happy disposition because I know that God will guide and direct me what to do.
That's how prayer is important to me as part of my daily activities.

hi amethyst!
yes, i do pray. at night in the morning or just any minute.
i do talk to Jesus in every minute i can.
oh, i am not religious but i see to it that i have thank the Lord for every single blessing that He gives me everyday and i seek for His guidance every minute that i have to face a circumstance. i pray that i would be guided that i am doing His will with the decisions i make.
it's as simple as "thank you Lord" and "Lord please guide me".

Yes I do pray. I don't claim however to be a highly religious or spiritual person but I know I talk to God many times a day.
I have deep respect for Catholic prayers being a Catholic myself but I don't believe it's the only way to have a relationship with God.
I believe in what's called a Life Song. To me it means that my entire life is like a prayer. All that I do is like my offering to God. This way, it makes me strive hard to do everything in accordance to His will.

Honestly, I am not going to church for about a year now,but it does not mean I dont pray anymore. Before I pray consistently but now sometimes I miss a day without praying. However, I really pay especially early in the morning or early evening. I dont pray the rosary, I pray just like talking to a friend.

Errr I'm guilty of not going to Church regularly. I still go and pray to Church but not like every week. I know it's important and I think this is really bad not visiting the house of our God. But sometimes I also do feel that if you go there just to sit and not actually hear the preaching and not praying sincerely, then I think people are just showing others that they're religious but they're not. I pray everyday... morning and evening. And say a little prayer and thanks too before having lunch. These simple ways are what we can also do to connect with God.

Yes, I do pray always. We basically existed in this world for a reason, The reason is to submit ourselves to our own God or whoever you believes your supreme almighty. This understanding depend on individuals faith regardless of religion.
It is also a personal choice to practice but to many it is an obligation from your religion and prove that you have faith from God above.
