Why do certain pages take so long to load? I want to know if there is something I can do on my end. Or is it in the hand of the web master. I know patience is a good practice. It just seems that certain pages load time is slow as molasses. This always takes place when I am trying to complete a task. How do you deal with a computer stall?

If a web page is pure HTML it will load fast, but that is rare these days. Everyone is obsessed with scripting and flash which is a speed killer!
Mylot has always been slow and it seems to have got even slower since the last upgrade.
On your end, clear your browser's cache regularly and clean out the unnecessary cookies. Keep sufficient free disk space.
I make a cup of coffee when it gets too slow.

Can you explain what a HTML is. I am a beginner level with computer jargon. When you say clear your browsers cache do you mean close other windows? I also might grab a bite to eat to ease the frustration.

Well it is a common problem with some sites these days. Many of that sites have alot of content in one page like flash, pictures, sometimes video and music too. When they using that lot of contents its true that their sites looked more great but one thing that they not realize is that it is a bandwith killer. With slow internet access it will take a lot of time waiting the pages to finished loading, even sometimes it will take some time for a quite faster internet access to finished it too.

Today my computer wasn't loading pages at all. To fix this problem I restarted the computer and Wala, I'm back in business. It helps to restart after you've downloaded programs.

This due to the most of internet cache file in your system!
It help to delete those files using freeware programs and using intenet options for example!

Yea some pages take a lot of time to load and it is certainly due to the content present on that page. Some websites have all flash content. It's like a flash game which takes a lot of time to load but once loaded you can do anything in that game it wont load anything once loaded. These kinda sites need to be loaded at once, it's of no use if we stop the loading in between, you have to wait and load the whole page. Sometimes in our PC there are some background processes going on such as adobe update or windows update which make the browsing slower..
