Need help with my painful gums

Every few years, when I am stressed out to the max, my gums get inflamed and throb with pain. This is one of those times and it is killing me. I am rinsing out my mouth about once an hour with warm salt water - that helps a little. I cannot sleep at night because of the pain. I tried orajel but that numbs for a few minutes then i think it irritates my inflamed gums more.
Does anyone have any suggestions for me? I will try just about anything. It hurts so much I feel like crying. Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and I am hosting about 10 people. I won't even be able to enjoy myself.

Have you tried taking an anti-inflammatory pain medicine like Ibuprofen or Aleve? That used to help me when my teeth and gums hurt badly. Another suggestion is to rub whiskey on your gums to numb them. I haven't done that one myself, but I have been told that it works wonders.

This might sound awful but its effective.I do it regularly. Try gargling the first urine in the morning.Do it for 15-20 minutes and see the difference. It will cure your dental problems too.Urine theraphy has nice and effective ways to cure illness
