I have tried traditional ways cmd release renew ya know, but it wont it says it cant with the wifi I have in my HP pc. I have windows 7 and I need to get a new one. I have some one hacking it and going on facebook as me or using it. I have had my hotmail account and yahoo acount broken or tried to break in many times. Please help. asap. My brother thinks I called CPS on his kids and I did not, he thinks I am the one doing this stuff on facebook under my father and is taking it to the police? and is looking into it via facebook. I didi not do it but I am tired of my ex husband who was very very abusive and SWORE he would ruin my family and tear us apart, doing this. He is very good with tech stuff (he was an engineer student and his father is one and his brother, his father is a lobbiest too so there is a lot of money and free time) thanks

Try logging into your router's admin console and releasing the IP address (according to the router manufacturer's instructions), then turn off and unplug everything -- the router, modem. When you turn it all back on, it should recycle and give you a new IP. You say your facebook, hotmail, and yahoo accounts have been hacked? You sure your ex didn't have your passwords?

Your IP address is really of no consequence. If someone has hacked your accounts it is because they have your passwords. The correct thing to do is to change your passwords to something completely different and STRONG - that is, 8 characters or more and a mixture of upper case, lower case, numerals and symbols. You should also use different passwords for all your accounts.

I found a video on youtube, this might help you change you ip. You're using a wifi and tried the release/renew command in cmd so i'll assume that you are in dhcp type ip. Just make sure that you'll not get out of the ip range if you want to change your ip to static. Here's the link http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ACLGL4VRxtU
