Valu time and Food club have recalled all their canned pumpkin. The Giant Eagle stores have pulled theirs off the shelf but this is a nationwide recall per the company hotline. It does not affect just Giant Eagle customers. If you bought either of these brands, do not consume them. Throw them away or take them back to the store that you bought them from. The companies are not revealing what is wrong with these products, just that they are not safe to eat.

Canned pumpkin -- normally we do not use canned pumpkin. We buy fresh vegetable and consume in a day or two. Of course this piece of information will be of use for those who consume canned pumpkin--they can surrender it back to the store.
